We drove through here on our way to our nearby hotel. We were going to walk back, but it was so crowded and didn't look like much to see or do, so we skipped it.

There is something for everyone at Kuta Square. Plenty of shops, markets, souvenirs, restaurants, colour, culture and noise as locals and visitors go about their business. Street scenes are always interesting in Kuta. Visit and enjoy !

Also a buzzing place. Lots of choice of restaurants, massage places, walking distance to everything. You can barter prices at the Kuta Square markets or they have loads of fixed price shops.

Definitely worth a visit and caters for everyone

Actually what is locally known as Kuta square is not a square, but a number of properties owned by the same man, a wealthy Chinese Indonesian businessman. The properties includes the Gourmet supermarket building on jalanTegal Wangi and the whole stretch of buildings starting from the top end of jalan Kartika plaza all the way up to the KFC on jalan Raya Kuta.

This street has many modern airconditioned shops selling goods in the medium to high price-bracket and is mainly geared towards international tourists with money to spend. There are also some restaurants including McD, Yoshinoya and an Italian place. The pavement here is wider than in other parts of Kuta. There is still a lot of motorized traffic going through the street.

Always loved buying around this area and if you keep a good level mind, you can score some excellent bargains. Remember bargaining is a game so be a good sport and if you do not both agree on a price, leave graciously with a smile.
