Good location in Kuta

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Oct 17, 2019via mobile
+ We got free upgrade room, from standard to deluxe ocean view. The location is great, near to the beach, just walk through Art Kuta Market. We love the room, super clean. They provide shower and bathtub in the bathroom. We can reach this hotel without pass the Legian street, it is very important since there is usually a traffic jam there. We can go there through Bakung sari. And it is really close to the airport. Suitable for your last days in Bali.

- We couldnt see the ocean since there were a lot of high trees. The bed was hard.

Came here after seeing the live seafood out front. Asked for Jumbo Prawns but was told not available at this time and advised to try the Squilla Mantis as it was “better than prawn”. While very tasty $40 later we realised that there was less than a desert spoon of actual edible meat.

Roast duck was amazing, as was the Nasi Goreng.

Realistically you’re better off at one of the local small seafood places by the beach.

Recently stayed here for 7 nights.

Motel was generally of an excellent standard, with comfortable bedding, reasonable amenities, friendly staff and close proximity to Kuta Beach and Kuta Square. Plenty of options to eat out in the area, aside from the accommodations own establishments - Discovery Mall is also nearby (about a 5min walk), with a Mini Mart across the road for incidentals and a supermarket also nearby near Matihara. Conveyance was also provided between Denpasar Airport and the motel.

Breakfast provided was exceptional, with a rotating menu.

Beach access is via the nearby market, with the access gate being locked at 7pm. This can be a hinderance if on the beach after sunset, as after sunset the main route back is via Kuta Square, almost doubling the time to get back to the accomodation.

The room could use with a coat of paint, as paint was peeling in several locations throughout the room. There were also no power points near the bed, which in this day and age are a must have due to the prevalence of using mobile phones as alarm clocks.

Be aware that the motel can arrange a taxi service for you, however I found that the contracted driver charged IDR100,000 between the motel and Semiyak, while a Blue Bird on the return trip cost IDR44,000. Touts other than the motel contracted taxi's are also common. There was no issue with security staff refusing Blue Bird Taxi's access.

Had heard that this place was great with access to beach. This isn't true, the access is a side entrance to a market area that leads to the beach. There was a construction when we were there, the hotel didn't notify that. It was noisy in the day time, which was okay since we were out most of the day. It was good, but nothing to rave about.

I’ve stayed here a few times in the past... 1st time was in 2006 and we loved it... Everything about The place was great.... The time before this I stayed with a friend for my 40th and we were upgraded to a beautiful ground floor family room - it was stunning.... So this holiday - after having seen the “family room” I was very excited about stay in this gorgeous room - However we arrived at around midnight with our very tired 5 year old & 10 year old and we’re shown to our Family room down in the Basement... As soon as we got out of the elevator the sewerage smell was overwhelming as we walked to our room door which looked more like a broom Closet door - we looked at each other like WTF!!!! As soon as we walked in I was like ohh nooo... it STUNK!!! My husband was like nope this is definitely not good enough so he rang reception and they offered to move us to another room but with a terrible view.... but at that point anything seemed better... as we waiting to be moved - we looked around the room would have been great as it over looked the pool area but the gap in the door when it latched was really wide... I would imagine Mosquitoes would be a huge issue down there... and although my kid’s were tired - that room was waaaay tireder!!! I would recommend requesting a family room around room number 105/106 ish that’s were the lovely room was...

We checked in very late and checked out very early... Front desk staff on both occasions were professional but not overly friendly - The rest of the staff n between amazing- lovely service... kids LOVED the pool and it’ll be amazing once it’s complete... the Room Cleaners could maybe do some More training we had a few random things happen which made us think we had a trainee hahahahaha... random piles of towels and sheets left.... dirty pillow cases which looked like they could possibly have used it for cleaning purposes... 😬

I would recommend this hotel for its family
friendly environment... just request a good room...

But maybe Kuta Paradiso it’s time to upgrade your hotel.... You’re not alone a lot of hotels need a good upgrade...
