A lovely family hotel, great pools for adults and kids, we found it was very clean and cozy a little bit busy at times, the staff were very friendly, breakfast was just great.
Queens of India at the entrance was a great place for lunch or dinner
New rooms are nice. Old rooms very run down. But next time we are going to try a villa.
A morning or evening walk along the beach is peaceful quiet.
Every thing is at walking distance. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay at the Bali Dynasty again.

We stayed here with two boys aged 7 and 4 for a week. It was amazing for start to finish. Stayed in a garden view Kids Suite newly renovated and excellent. The pools were amazing, kids loved the water slides and the Kids club was fantastic. We could not keep the boys away from it. All the spa treatments were amazing as was the food. We could not fault this resort! We will definatley be returning soon.

My Wife and I along with our 3 kids (8, 5 & 3yr) stayed in the Executive Pool View Room from May 8 -15, and it was fantastic. The room is located right opposite the main pool area, and has all the amenities you could want and more...
The pool area is a little dated, and the surrounds a bit slippery but its clean and well maintained. Our kids loved the water slide and the kids pool areas
The food at the hotel is slightly overpriced (by Bali standards) but was of good quality. The breakfasts were great as well.
We agree that the best place to exchange money is at the 'kodak' shop near the entrance of the hotel. We went a number of trips/tours with our friends and found a fantastic Driver with a van (comfortably seating 8 people). His name is Andre and he is normally right out front of the hotel - he was very kind and friendly and also reasonable with his pricing (Day trips 250,000-300,000 rupiah - approx $30-35, or into town for 50,000 rupiah - approx $6 (not bad considering there was 8 of us). Give him a go...
Overall we couldn't fault this hotel, but it will be a bit too overcrowded for us when the renovations are finished and the place is running at 100% capacity.

We love staying at the Dynasty but only in the low season... Hotel gets way too busy in the peak. Pool and restaurant is just too small to handle a over 80 people.Fantastic hotel for families... Kids club is great.. we found it easy to trust the staff and they remember us each time we go back. Breakfast is just alright cant say I missed it when I get back home. Staff are friendly and helpful, reception staff could be better. New rooms are nice. Old rooms very run down. We have stayed there 3 times... But next time in October we are going to try a villa. Love Dynasty... In the low season!

I stayed for there near a week with 7 girlfriends (we booked 4 double rooms)
I had views that it would be more of a childrens and family resort but it was no problem. the resort caters for everyone - alot of us aussies go there so its very relaxed and energetic and loud.

Was not far from the airport at all, when you walk into the foyer it is absolutely beautiful (coming home in the early mornings from clubbing you will see the staff polishing the floor every morning)

The breakfast is superb!! But you got to get in early to get a table otherwise you could wait a little bit.. plus they served bacon which the other resort we stayed in didn't.

The pool area was beautiful!! But you gotta get in quick and early to get a deckchair otherwise you will miss out! They have pool games organised even for the older people which was great!! The staff (and cute lifeguards) are soooo friendly!
Best time was laying poolside ordering cocktails (during happy hour) and food.

There is a camera shop next to the Bali Dynasty which is also a currency exchange - we found that they were pretty good rates and don't rip ya off so we changed all our money there which was pretty handy.
At the front of the Bali Dynasty there are drivers, we hired Suntay (don't know how you spell it, sounds like sun + day) a young bali fella who was great! if you want to hire a driver (we had a van because there was 8 of us) you should be able to find him outside bali dynasty.
Location is great - you can walk to Matahari huge shopping centre.

Bali Dynasty is beautiful - the only slight thing that I could try and be picky about was the room. The air con seemed to leak heaps at night which made the floor wet and slippery but phoned reception and they fixed it. Also, the room was a bit dull but they were the cheaper rooms and you are hardly in them but honestly that is being harsh and trying to find something to criticise about.
I would definately stay there again!!
People that whinge and complain about the are probably exaggerating or letting a tiny thing 'ruin' their holiday...

We booked the Bali Dynasty through a travel agent for 4 of us to travel. The entrance to the hotel is impressive as are half of the rooms, however if like us you were unfortunate enough to be booked in the rooms that had not been renovated then its depressing. The rooms are old, dated and have seen better days.

Our first room was full of mould in the bathroom, and smelt damp. Upon being, moved the room was the same without the mould!

The hotel has an adults pool, but unless you like unruly Australian Children running around slamming doors and generally making a nusiance of themselves from about 6am then this is not the hotel for you.

We ate in the restaurant in the first night and the service was poor, we saw one family if 4 get their dishes all at different times and then, the first dish they were served twice as they had waited so long. We faired little better and the four of us ate in several stages.

The breakfast buffet was a scramble, with the same unruly Australian Children causing chaos and the parent (and staff) doing nothing to control them.

Stepping out of the hotel there were many great places to eat, so take advantage of very cheap Thai food.

Not somewhere I would go back to and not to be recommended unless your idea of a great holiday is unruly Australian Children and equally as rude parents is what you seek.

We have just returned from staying at the Dynasty for 10 nights, our children are 5 and 7 and we all loved this hotel. We had a Family Garden View Room which was very close to the kids pool. It has a grassed area at the back of the room for the kids to run around (this was shared with other rooms) It was a really quiet room and so close to the pools. All the staff are so happy and friendly and make such a fuss over the kids. We used the kids club once which the kids loved as they made some friends they played with regularly . The kids now knew all the staff around the pool and they were always giving them high 5's.
The Tropical Cafe was beautiful food and really good value for money because the kids ate free and there was a different cuisine each night. The drinks at the pool bar were very expensive, a Bintan stubbie (sml) 45 000 and you could buy at the Minimart 16 000. The cocktail buckets were very popular at happy hour (usually 170 000) during happy hour 85 000 and there was just over 6 glasses in them (yes we had a few).
Breakfast buffet was amazing with so much to choose from.
This hotel is close to great shopping, great resturants, the Kodak shop near the entrance of the hotel is honest and always busy changing money and was the only one we used. Less than 10 minutes walk to Centro, Discovery Mall and Waterbomb Park.
My kids have not stopped talking about The Dynasty and we cant wait to return.
