Big hotel near the beach, actually quite near "everything". The hotel appears old and worn down Staff was'nt very helpful. A lot of mosquitos. We had to pay extra for the wifi which had a really poor bandwith.

Breakfast was good though.

This is the third visit to Ramayana Resort & Spa and it is still a great resort! Very friendly staff, clean rooms and great service. So convenient to shops, markets, restaurants and of course Bali Waterbom Park! We feel very safe and secure at this location as the security is superb. Breakfast has a vast variety and choice and the food is excellent. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Rooms are rather old- so plumbing is noisy and can wake you up. There were tour groups when we stayed so it was noisy at times. Service was average and at the pool side bar there was an obvious difference in the way Asian and non Asian guests were being treated. The hotel is ok if you want to be near the beach and shops but avoid if you want to get away from the crowds, traffic and tour groups and want to be pampered.

We stayed in this resort in November 2012 and were pleasantly surprised. We found the staff very friendly, a big enough choice of food at breakfast and we ate a very nice meal in the Gabah restaurant. We stayed in an executive deluxe room which was clean and comfortable. The grounds and pool areas were remarkable, very nice and well kept. The resort had security on each entrance and was situated in a great spot close to Kuta art market and Kuta square (Matahari). The only thing we found during our stay was that when we arrived the room was very hot as the air conditioner did not turn on until you placed a card in the slot. However once we got into the room cranked the air conditioner up and unpacked it was comfortable enough to go to sleep. The fridge also worked only when the card was inserted so slow to cool drinks.

Room Tip: We stayed on the second floor, garden view room 618. Very nice and little noise

unquote...

We are happy to say that things are still as great as before...with a few improvements:...
- WiFi is now provided free of charge for all guests
- Refrigerators are continuously ON whether room card is inserted or not....
- Buffet breakfast features more varieties including vegetarian dishes.

Thank you again for a great review, and we do hope that you have been here again since...if not, we do look forward to welcoming you back soon to the Ramayana Resort & Spa in Bali, the Paradise Island...

With best regards

Great location...walking distance to nearly everything in Kuta.
Good security.
Fantastic pool area.
Breakfast okay...a bit of everything.
Staff helpfull.
Massive beds...and very high up off the ground.
Pay the extra and stay in bungalows - garden/pool view a must!!!
Buy your Bintang elsewhere and drink around the pool as pool bar very expensive and the staff don't mind that you BYO around the pool .
Be prepared for the Asian invasion at this hotel...they are in bus loads...not that there is anything wrong with this, however we found that they demand attention first....and a little pushy.

Room Tip: Go for the pool view bungalows...so nice

We stayed at this hotel for one night as our hotel had overbooked us.
The staff were fantastic. Very friendly and well informed.

The hotel rooms were new and nice although the bathroom was very small.
There are a number of different places to eat inside the hotel and $18 1 hour massages in the spa.

My husband mentioned to one of the staff that it was my 30th birthday and our 10th wedding anniversary. Much to our surprise, the staff came and bought us a gorgeous cake. We both thought this was extremely kind.

This is such a great hotel, I just wish it wasn't right in the heart of Kuta. Too hot, too noisy and too busy.

I traveled with my family and stayed there for 3 nights. We booked the hotel online after recommended by friends. The price was reasonable. The location of this hotel was very strategic. It was very near to shops, restaurants and Kuta beach. However, to go to the beach, we needed to walk across the road and sometimes the traffic could be very busy. We got a deluxe room which was facing inner pool view. So, I was not sure whether there is a beach view room in this hotel. The room was very spacious and clean otherwise. Although the hotel was along the mainroad, the room was quiet. The disappointment was small pool and the towel service from 9am to 6pm. As our trip was basically sightseeing, we did not really explore the hotel. Not sure whether there was a gym in this hotel. However, my wife did enjoy the 1hr massage service there. For breakfast, the food was ok, nothing great. The staffs were very friendly but not so initiative enough to offer help. Anyway, this hotel deserved at least 4 stars because of great location and room.
