It was a good location, nearby Hard Rock Hotel and next to Pizza Hut, very close to the beach. We booked a deluxe room but the hotel was fully booked thus they upgraded us to junior suite. We enjoyed our stay and we spent quite sometime on the small rooftop pool just enjoying the ocean-view. There was a rooftop sea-viewing deck that you shouldn't miss. The spa is over-rated and definitely over-priced since you can find same services nearby with much lesser price. It is definitely one of the hotel i'll consider going back to should I plan my next visit.

Room Tip: If you do have extra budget and plan to enjoy the beach weather, do book the suite. It's relaxin...

I travelled to the mercure with my husband and a few friends for a week last year. We found the hotel to be quite good for the price. Breakfast was included which was nice, although it was found to be quite repedative day after day. Be sure to find the bakery section as it is tucked away in another side of the restaurant and was quite hidden.

The rooms were great. Small in size but comfortable and great view from our balcony. We looked into the fish pond which is really beautiful. We loved the pool section on the rooftop. So beautiful watching the sunset sipping on a bintang. Great position ... even though people constantly critisize Kuta we love it. Its the reason you go to Bali, to be around the hype and buzz of an asian country. The beach opposite is nice, not amazing to swim in,, but has the best vibe when sitting on the sand having a cold beer watching the sunset and the locals play soccor. Didnt try the spa as it was quite expensive.. But it did look nice. We were in Bali for NYEPI DAY which was goodfun as we were all to stay indoors for the day, but would of had the best view of the streets quiet and had a great vibe with all the guests at the hotels drinking together. Only downside was the evening meal. There was no room service - only a evening meal in the restaurant which cost $28.00 AUD for a plate.. the usual noodles, meat vegtables but it wasnt a buffet. They knew they could charge the prices as there was no other choice.

Apart from that we would stay here again, but my problem is trip after trip to Bali I like to try different places to have a different trip. Im looking into the Pullman for our next trip in September but it is seeminf quite expensive compared to the Mercure..

Overall great stay, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms right in the hussle of it all.

Room Tip: Room facing the fish ponds are beautiful.

If you are looking for a convenient hotel location, this is the ONE! Across from Kuta beach, It might be a little old but it is well-maintained. Infinity pool was great but not too many deck chairs by the pool. Bath tub could be better maintained. Staffs were great and super friendly. Overall, our getaway was perfect without any hiccups!

We enjoy our stay it was probably one of the most centrally located hotels in kuta. The room we had was small and had little natural light as it open in to a covered area. The best part of the hotel was the pool it had amazing view and spent a lot of time there. Compared to the prices of hotels one street back this was expensive ( we payed $103 au) we could have got something from $30-$60 which was equal. If you are looking for a safe hotel in central kuta this is good but you pay for it.
