Went there to spend my last day in Bali and ended up getting more than what I expected. It was a three story building. The second and third floor shows the various collections of shells, some cristals, corals, sea creatures, and fossils. The staff were friendly and seems to know much about everything displayed there. Unfortunately some lamps were broken, so the room was a little bit dark. The first floor was suppose to be the gift shop. It sells various kinds of souvenirs mostly made of shells with reasonable price. Love the lamp collections. They are gorgeous and affordable. The giftshop staff, mbak Putri, was friendly and very helpful. Definitely a must visit place in Bali.

if you love to see historical things, then this is the palce. you'll be amazed with the oldest shell you could find! the staffs were really friendly and told the information clearly.
just came in to the first floor, i was amazed with all the things the sell. yes, the first floor is the place to sell the shells and even sharks ( dead ones of course). the second floor and the third floor was the shells collections and fossild. they have shark, whale, and other fish I don't really remember. after satisfied seeing those fossils, we go back to the first floor, but came into the room of shells shop. I bough a starfish candle. it was cute :)
nice place to get some knowledge!

I was very positively surprised when I visited Bali Shell Museum. The place is the work of an inspired amateur collector and remains one of Bali's great secret (and slightly oddball) attractions. The two upper floor house an impressive collection of shells and fossils. They also have a big shop with shells and related products which are good for small souvenirs, but bigger objects can be found cheaper elsewhere.

Shells are beautiful and you get them in abundance here. However, there is nothing really special enough to warrant coming here unless you are already on Sunset Road to do shopping at Carrefour or Lippo Plaza. It is in an unattractive strip mall.
