Owner description: The Bali Bombing Memorial, Ground Zero was built in the memory of terror attack that took place on 12th October, 2002 in Bali. It is considered as the deadliest terror attack in the history of Bali. The simple yet elegant architecture is made from carved stones and has a huge marble plaque with names as well nationalities of those who were killed in the attack.

Located on the main Legian to Kuta road, you can easily drive past and not see it as the whole area has been rebuilt and the memorial is surrounded by shops, restaurants and bar's.
Once you finally arrive it is quite humbling to see all the names on the memorial and the massive loss of life.

If you are shopping or staying in the Kuta area you are likely to pass the memorial several times.

Worth stopping by to pay your respects to those that were taken on that night.

As an Aussie travelling to Bali, it was a must to visit here. Is shocking to imagine when you see it's location. Respectfully done, however, also quite humbling.

The memorial isnt as big as I thought although still worth a look as it is directly across from where the incident was. Very sad when you see how many people were killed.
