“Lovely surroundings and great service”

Budhas Guest House is tucked away down an alley but opens up into a beautifully set out row of apartments with gardens bending around to lead to a small waterfall with a tiny spot for you to relax with a drink next to it across a small bridge surrounded by a pond. The gardens are meticulous and such a delight to come 'home'to when most guest houses of this price do not come with a garden. As our flights were cancelled and dates changed, we had to change our days with them and they were more than accommodating and helped us with anything we needed. They were very friendly. The small shop back down the alley (30m away)was great for the kids to run down to and grab a snack or cold drink. She was soooo friendly to my kids and joked around with them and helped them learn some Balinese words, as well as has cheap prices. The room was clean and very cool as the air-conditioner had already been put on previously. Very impressed.
We stayed at Buhdas twice during our Bali trip for nights after and before flying in and out. It is very handy to the airport with complementary airport transfers and breakfast included. The room itself was no frills and very clean. The staff were also very friendly. All in all, I rate this a good value option in the Kuta area.

Room Tip: room in upstair very quite.

Free airport transfer - that was nice. There is an alley you have to work through as the guest house is located at the end of that alley. I won't recommend solo travelers to walk through the dark alley at night. Though narrow, cars or taxis can drive you to the door-step but don't miss the alley as there is no hotel sign at the road. I guess this may be quite common for small B&Bs in Indonesia. This place is a walkable 10ish minutes to Waterbom Park, a mall and beach. There are also several restaurants nearby. But this place is not near to the center. By foot, it might take 20 to 30 minutes so I highly recommend taking a meter taxi. The gardens were beautifully landscaped and the owners were really friendly and made me feel so warm. I really appreciate that. If you stay here, I suggest you ask for a room away from the main gate and on the second floor so it's less noisy. I stayed in a room close to the main gate and did not sleep at all as I could hear people and cars passing by every so often. The rooms I stayed in, had a weird and bad smell. Not sure what it was. At first, in the day time, the room was generally clean. But when I returned at night, the room had a cockroach and some insects. My luggage was clean and there was no food left in the room so I was shocked to find these unwelcome guests. After that was dealt with, the next morning, I woke up to find I had insect bites and that was when I cut short my stay. This place is very basic, for travelers who are super not fussy. Banana pancake with honey was the best I've had. Though there were many flies in the beautiful breakfast pavilion when the food came. This is not a place where travelers can stay in all day unless you just wanna read a book in your room. There was only one tv channel in English but reception was poor. Wifi was slow. Price was average. Went to a much cleaner hotel where it was more comfortable for about extra 10 to 20 usd.

I ve stayed in budha guest house for 2 nights in the beginning of my indonesia trip in early october. The main and only problem with the guest house is the location, all the other is perfect. Its a 25m walk till the city centre in a remote place. the staff is lovely, paying attention to all the details. They want you to feel at home, but your home is faraway from the centre! There is free wifi everywhere but the signal in the rooms is weak. The breakfast room/place is very nice, in the middle of the garden. The rooms and toilet are very clean. The ac works properly. Its a little bit expensive for a guest house but its very ok.

Tip: if you are coming from Europe Kuta is kind of Benidorm, Palma Nova or Albufeira. Drunk people everywhere( mainly young australians) and overpriced places. Its hard to find a local restaurant in kuta! Seminyak is a couple of kms from there and it's a bit better. Although if you are looking for something less touristic try the north part of the island!

I have booked 3 nights and then decided to stay for a month. Budha's guest house is very central located, close to the airport, center and beach. It is a very quiet place off the main road! The rooms are clean and the bathroom well sized. LCD tv and free wifi are in place as well as the free pickup and drop service to the airport. A big bonus is that the beach is just 5 min. walk away and not busy like main beach Kuta!!
Day trips can be arranged from the guest house. The family and staff operating, are wonderful people!!! They made me feel home away from home!!! Thank you for all - I will see you guys ASAP

It depends what you are looking for if you want to stay here. It is at the far end of Kuta so a good walk to get to the centre, one which we did most days and evenings.

The reason why I say it was expensive is because there are many other places to stay here that have additional facilities such as a pool. Its not the sort of place you can stay around for the day, unless you want to sit under a tree in the shade.

The rooms are spacious with good air conditioning. The bathroom is also a good size but we had daily problems with the WC and shower.....getting blocked.

There is a tv with local chanels.

The breakfast was very nice although you cant have toast with your boiled egss but can have toast with fried egss.

If you want to be right out of the way - this is the place to be - it's not a hotel and you need to remember this. It is however, a very nice little guesthouse.

Room Tip: make sure the toilet works

We were picked up at the airport by the Guesthouse owner, even though our flight was late and we landed at 2 am (complementary pickup!). Wonderful little place, with a really nice little landscaped garden. The rooms were good, although some were better than others. If possible, ask to see two different ones.

Really nice and friendly staff! Very personal and made us feel at home!

It's a little bit off from the beach if your looking for surfing, which is the only small setback (this is nice in a way, because you won't be disturbed by the hectic Kuta nightlife).

All in all, very nice place!

Stayed at budha's Guesthouse enroute to another place. After two plane trips and one layover, Budha was a comfort to this weary traveler. Near everywhere but it was like an oasis amid the hustle and bustle of Kuta. The staff were friendly and accommodating from the pickup at airport to handling a request for a fruit platter. It has internet connection which is great for someone working or wanting to keep in touch. The room including the bath, is very clean. Definitely a good place to stay in transit or for long stay. Highly recommended!
