Our driver dropped us as this restaurant.
While we do understand this is a tourist area and I am expective "tourist prices", this place is definitely NOT worth it.
The setting is great, with tables out on the beach.
First no no: We sit down, order drinks (at relatively expensive price for Indonesia), and we are advised that have to order our meals inside ourselves. So not only we pay premium prices, but you do have to do the work.
There is no "menu" per se. You arrive at the counter of "fresh seafood", point at what you'd like to eat, the non-smiling lady throws the fish, squid or prawn on the scale for about half a second and "quotes" the weight. This is very questionnable. At theses price level (i.e. 20$/kilo for red snapper or 40$/kilo for King prawns, or 80$/kilo for lobster), I expect service, advice, and patience from the service staff, none of which you do get.
Now I understand the driver may have gotten a commission to bring us here, which is fine, but the food is expensive and tasteless and overcooked.
Enough said. I think you get my point!
