It has a beautiful view to the sea. the sunset was breathtaking. beware of univited band of singers who sings with quite terrible english songs with a number of wrongly pronounced words. you have to pay a fee even thogh you did not invite them to serenade you while you eat.

We first experienced Jimbaran sunset dinner in November 2011,it was a great beach and the food was excellent, appart from the Snapper i ordered, one side of the fish was missing??? Returned yesterday with my family. This beach is now a disgusting cess pit. There is half burried plastic and fish carcass's along most of the beach front amonst the dog crap. The smell was shocking and so was the choice of seafood, not to mention the huge price increases (like everything in Bali). Not sure if this is the same at all the restaurants, but we decided to have 1 drink and then leave.Had to pay 200K for return transport back to Kuta as we didnt eat their food.
Never again will we go there.

Everyone was telling us that the Jimbaran sunset seafood was a must. So we made it a point to go one of the nights. We made early reservation via our driver at the restaurant he recommended called The Gecko. There are so many along the beach.. so i guess you'll just have to ask around for the good ones.

We arrived around 630pm (try to be earlier as you don't wanna miss the SUNSET!). By then, the sun was already starting to set. We chose to sit facing the sea (which honestly is the best choice because for girls with long hair... the wind is so strong, if you sit in any other direction, your hair... will be flying along). The menu was pretty small, the selection of seafood is quite standard so we felt that taking the set was more worth it. Although there seems to be a lot in the set, we felt it was rather pricey for a set! Anyway, we ordered it in the end.
The sunset finally became more apparent and vivid. It was the best time to snap pictures. The staff was also friendly as they helped us snapping a pic. Finally when the food arrived, we were a bit worried as it looked like A LOT! But anyway, we just ate away. The lobster, squid and fish was awesome! Really fresh and worth it after all. When the sunset finally turned into the dark night, the mood changes a bit. But thats ok as they have walking live band performances.. They performed at our table for one song.. loved that.. haha

In conclusion, its definitely worth a visit. I mean sunset & seafood? Awesome! And as for the SALT i put in my title refers to the strong winds which blows the sea salt to your skin/hair. I didn't mind as it gave me a surfers feel haha.
