We stayed at Kuta Station for 5 nights ... The hotel is in need of a little TLC.. Our room was big, clean and very comfortable ... The rooms were serviced daily... The pool was heavenly after a hard day of bartering kuta style only a stones throw away.. With children we loved the bowling and pool tables within The complex .... Great locality close to everything.. Would definitely stay again

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night when we arrived in Bali on our honeymoon, just so we could stay somewhere near the airport before we headed down to Uluwatu. We only paid around AU$45 for the room including breakfast so it was great value, and it was close enough that we could walk into Kuta for shopping before we headed away. The breakfast was yummy! Plenty of tasty food to choose from, though there was no bacon out for self service, but all we had to do was ask for some and we were given a plate of bacon each. I also had lunch there while I waited for my husband to get back from his morning surf at Kuta Reef, their satay ayam was delicious and everything was reasonably priced (for a western hotel) even before the 20% guest discount. The pool is long, so great for anyone wanting to swim laps and have a cool down. The only downside is the rooms could probably use a bit of work, but if you're only there for a night or 2 and you're not a fussy person they're fine. Would stay again if the price is right - just for the breakfast!

Room Tip: We had a downstairs room overlooking the pool - probably would have preferred an upstairs room with...

We stayed at Kuta Station for 10 nights.

The hotel itself is in a great location only about 10 minutes from the airport, a short stroll to Waterbom, Discovery Mall, Matahari Mall and Kuta Beach (especially if the lane across the road is open).

The staff are all very friendly and welcoming.

The hotel itself is in need of some maintenance there are a lot of cracked and broken tiles both in the hallways and in the rooms that we stayed in.

The bathroom towels were all very old and were more like floor mats rather than something that you would dry yourself with.

The room safe was positioned right in the bottom of the cupboard, you almost have to lay flat on the floor to access the control panel.

Travelling with children, we took advantage of the free games of 10 pin bowling at the adjoining Paradiso bowling alley.

The hotel gym is ok for those who go on holiday and try to maintain their ritual gym days.

Breakfast provided a large selection and there is an egg station where you can order almost anything that takes your fancy, although it is strange that you have to ask for bacon as it is not part of the buffet.

We had pool view rooms, they are large with a balcony, and a large bathroom - the decor is a little run down but the ground floor rooms were all being renovated during our stay.

There were a few issues with the room - the sliding doors to the balcony were broken and could not be locked and they were not fitted into the door opening - there was a one inch gap between the doors and the wall frame which allowed mosquito's into the room.

Our air conditioner had a few issues - it would not keep the room cool at night and was dripping water onto the floor - we advised house keeping three times and it was still not repaired by the time we left - we had to leave a towel on the floor to prevent slipping on the tiles.

We tried to have our stay extended due to a change in flights however this proved extremely difficult, when we enquired if we could keep one room for an extra night (until 10 pm) we were told that the hotel was booked out - however we then were able to book a room on Agoda - so we couldn't understand why we were told it was booked out. We spoke with the reception and in the end ran out of patience and booked a night at a hotel across the road.

I would not stay here again.

In February, we stayed for a week at Kuta Station. We had gotten a deal, so it was very much value for money, with a good pool and room, and the food was nice too. Kuta Beach was disgusting, full of rubbish, so the pool was a saving grace. HOWEVER, I was extremely angry and really quite worried when front office decided to give a random taxi driver (whom I had booked for a day trip while giving him the wrong room number and name on purpose) our actual room number. They had, without a second thought, given a strange man,who knew would not be in the room for the next 6h, the room number of two young, alone travelling women, just from our description. He could have been anyone with any intention conceivable, this is just NOT something you do front office, ever!

The hotel is very well located on Jn Kartika, which is only 15mins from the airport by taxi(if traffic is good), 10mins to Kuta Beach by foot, and 15mins to Jn Legian by foot. There're many seafood restaurants around the hotel too.

However, other than the location, there wasn't much to celebrate about the hotel. Firstly, after we checked in, we were given a room key that didn't work. They spent about 20mins trying to solve the problem, going back and forth to the reception, but still wasn't able to fix the problem. In the end, we were asked to change to a separate room.

Although the room was adequately equipped, it could definitely do better. The air-conditioning wasn't cold; the safety deposit box couldn't work initially (and it wasn't fixed onto the wall, so technically it's useless and people can just remove the entire safe from the room), the towels felt like it has been used about a million times.

In all, it felt as if the rooms are long overdue for a make over. The standard room photos we see on the website were probably taken 10 years ago when the rooms are new. However, on our way out of the hotel, we realised that they are renovating some of the rooms already, so things might get better after the next few months.

On a brighter note, the swimming pool is not too bad and the hotel restaurant is definitely value for money (if we use the 20% discount for hotel guests).

Would come back here again if the rooms are upgraded after the renovations!

Room Tip: Choose the pool facing rooms. They come with a private balcony, and also a better view

Value for money at this centrally located hotel in Kuta. Their best asset is their staff who are so friendly and helpful, treating you like family during your stay. The pool is very clean and inviting, rooms are large and well appointed. The Station, El Rustico Mexican and the Japanese restaurants on site, all have excellent food at great prices. They also offer bowling and billiards, a kids pool and playground. The spa offers tranquil surrounds and great massage specials and exclusive offers for couples treatment. Recommend highly for any age groups.

Room Tip: We prefer ground floor room near pool, however 1 level upstairs have a great balcony with pool view...
