We were at hotel within walking distance so were keen to give Sushi Tei a go to compare with other Japanese restaurants we liked. As the reviews were good, we had high expectations. I was impressed with the drinks menu - creative and well priced. The sushi train was disappointing tho - little variety soit felt like the same dishes were passing by, compared to some other trains around. The kids especially loved one in Hong Kong. Anyway we decided to order some platters to complement the train. They finally arrived, small and, compared to Ryoshi, was plain. For what it had, it was not well priced. May give its other dishes another go but hubby may not be as forgiving.

Big, ugly and the food pretty average, but prices not so average.
There are much better Sushi places in Bali than this one. Ryoshi comes to mind. No style, no substance and service only ok

We were first told about here by friends, all of whom have kids and who live in Bali. I've drive past 1,000 times, and seen the buses. Well, that was the impression I got.

This week we gave it a shot and I can say that it is the best Japanese I have tasted on the island.

It has a train (the kids love this). But the a la carte menu is extensive and fresh.

Price is reasonable. Decor is typically 'big' and 'white' and Asian. Very expansive. Tables way too big but at the end of the day, if you are after great food, and love Japanese, this is the No. 1 place in Bali, and just near Legian. Give it a try. Out of the zone, but for food and food alone, worth the trip.
