Have been to sushi tei many times, in jakarta, bali and singapore..,,but trying sushi kiosk by sushi tei at mall bali galeria.,..the sashimi was not fresh, service was nice. Better to eat at sakanaya at sunset road, fresher sashimi with better value

“Nice Ambiance”
Reviewed April 20, 2013 via mobile

This is a good place if they are busy. Food is good
Service is reasonable. But here is the rub. If they aren't busy they still make food and let it float around their little river. This can make for some nasty dishes. Old sushi sucks!
If you go here and they aren't busy be sure you ask for your food to be prepared fresh and be willing to wait for it. Prices are a little high for Bali, but not crazy.

“my all time favorite”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

reasonable price, wide range of menu, fresh fish, good service, good place and delicious food. i've tried so many menus and none disappoint me. my all time favorite is the salmon don. raw salmon on top of rice with some caviar. always have the Ocha - japanese tea, which is refillable! you can find ordinary japanese sushi that goes well with your budget or even the expensive one. they all have it. the curry is also good. the service is nearly perfect, they will always welcome you and sing you happy birthday and give you a sushi cake if you come there in your birthday. i always come back!

“Valid Reputation”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

Take a look at the comprehensive menu and your mouth will start watering. Decisions, decisions as all the different style of cooking are carefully explained at the top of the page. Even if you are not into Japanese dining, you will really enjoy this cuisine experience. We shared many delicious dishes along with fragrant and refreshing mocktails infused with mint leave and fresh strawberries. Service was indeed commendable considering the place was packed and we had not booked a table. Many friends had recommended this Sushi palace on Sunset Road to me, so I must say, I can confirm their enthusiasm, it certainly lived up to my expectations. A little pricey, if you are tempted to try too many dishes, so select carefully.

“Nothing on the train”
Reviewed March 15, 2013 via mobile

Been to several Sushi Teis in my time. Mainly in Singapore.
The beauty of a sushi train is having the parade of sushi creations appear in front of, removing the need to peruse a menu. Exactly why we came here. BUT the train had five varieties of boring sushi and was empty. I mean one plate every two metres empty.
So we had to resort to perusing the menu.
Admittedly the menu selections were delivered promptly and were amazingly good.
Yuzu soft drink amazed us all and the tempura nori is a very simple dish but is a must-have.
The fish is fresh and tasty. The staff are good but struggle a bit with English.

We visited at 1pm one day and 2:30 pm another bthe train was empty both times and the same items were on offer. Missing were salmon nigiri, tuna gungkan, salmon avocado maki - sushi train staples.
