This was our second time back here. After checking out of another hotel early, that we thought we'd try,we were welcomed with open arms. Nothing is too much trouble, and they always had a welcoming smile and conversation with our 6 yr old. The room we had(180) was perfect.no problems at all.always had the turn down service.a/c worked brilliantly.complimentary water was topped up every day.beds are soooo comfy.breakfast is great, good range, always looks fresh, good coffee, pastries r to die for-I will never buy another donut in Australia again! My husband and I both had the 1hr full massage, although more expensive than on the street, for $20ea,is worth the convenience. ONLY two complaints is,the towels are looking a bit shabby, perfectly clean, just not as white as they could be, and it was quite hot in the dining room for brekky,(but it was also November,so probably a bit of our own fault really) we luv this hotel, best location in kuta.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 180,had no probs with a/c or noise.

Hello
My partner and I selected this resort based upon reviews from this site.
In summary we felt that this resort was somewhat disappointing. My review is below:

Arrival and Check-in

Very good email communication from the resort. Driver transferring us from airport was punctual and good service.
Check-in staff very good. Very poor air-conditioning/fans in the lobby made any lobby experience uncomfortable.

Resort Location

Very good. Between the tow Poppies Walks, 15 minute walk to Legian Street, across the road from the beach. Next door to FlapJacks and Minimart. Very central.

The Staff

Always helpful and courteous. Good staff who obviously enjoy their work. Language barrier on some occasions but we managed ok.
Tour Desk needs display area with tour options where guests can just browse and take brochures.
Housekeeping punctual and I can recommend their laundry service.

The Rosso Vivo Restaurant: Breakfasts and Meals

The breakfasts here are very good. A 9/10. Great choice of food. Loved the fried rice. Egg station very good, great pastries. Enjoyed every breakfast we had here. Only negative is bacon over fried to point of being bacon chips.
Other meals: this restaurant has excellent meals and you pay a little bit more for these. Try their steaks and pasta meals as they are excellent. Again service is very good.
Air-conditioning in this restaurant is very poor. There is a small room of 5 tables that is sealed and air-conditioned but myself and many other guests commented on the discomfort in the evening in the main eating area as it was often very humid and hot to enjoy the meal properly. Other resorts we stayed at had larger spaces that were air-conditioned.

Pool and Bar

Pool is modest sized and the area is nice. It is right next to the main road so if you want full privacy you will not get it here.
The bar is small and drinks are good but not as good value as other resorts we stayed at. The happy hour (2 for 1) was disappointing as the cocktails were 80%-90% ice and not good value. We did not go back there for cocktails.

The Room

We were upgraded to the "Seaview Room". The good points of this room: a) quiet room; b) balcony; c) a mini-fridge that cooled drinks very well; d) nice LCD TV; and e) king-sized bed.
But that's it. Room was NOT worth the almost US$1,000 we paid for 8 nights and was very disappointing. It does not look anywhere near as fresh, large or colourful as displayed on the resorts website. Doors not closing properly. A noisy bathroom and balcony door that obviously needed maintenance (opened with loud bang or needed to be pushed so hard to open).
Our room looked so worn and tired especially the bathroom. Shower water pressure very low and was in the bath tub (perhaps a personal dislike whereas others may not mind this). Supplied shampoo and shower gel of poor quality and not replenished daily. Linen was very worn and sometimes replaced with stained towels. Main phone near bed not working. Air-conditioning flaps were not working and broken.
A good investment would be to freshen up these rooms, fix the faulty doors/room facilities and remove the bath and place a good sized shower in that space.
Note: Seaview rooms are up 3 flights of stairs.

Check-out and transfer to airport.
Again very good service and punctual.

In summary: the room was disappointing and let this resort down which is a shame as the staff and service were very good. The lack of fans and air-conditioning in common areas (esp. Rosso Vivo) also let this resort down.
For our next trip to Bali we will try another resort with better quality rooms.

Room Tip: View the room first before you accept the upgrade. Not that some rooms are up 3 flights of stairs (n...

We stayed at the Kuta Seaview Resort for four nights and spent little time there except when it was time to sleep. When my partner and I first arrived it was great, the lady that checked us in was lovely, our room was not ready which was understandable as we had caught the early morning flight from Perth. We left the hotel until we knew the room was ready. Upon return we were rushed through, and we were quite confused however we were taken to our room and the gentleman showed us everything around the room. When I book the with the resort it was said we would get a free welcome drink upon arrival and there would be fruit in the room, neither of these things were seen and there was a range of vouchers we were meant to receive. I ended up going up to the front desk to request one and the staff seemed confused. We left for dinner and the vouchers were ready when we returned.

The staff at the breakfast were lovely, especially the egg station staff. We decided to try and order a trip to jimberian bay with the hotel and we did this on Saturday which was also a holiday in Bali. The lady up the front was very attentive and ordered a driver for us for a price of 200,000rp, unfortunately about half a hour to an hour after this I fell very ill and my partner rang up to try and cancel the driver. The lady told him that she could not but failed to give us a reason and she also told my partner the price we had agreed on was 300,000rp. I was horified as I had double checked repeatedly the price when I had spoke to her. We tried to cancel this with a few hours before we were due to go. She told my partner that she would call us back when she cancelled the driver as there was just no way I could go. Later on we found out she had never cancelled the driver as a gentleman called the room demanding we go up the front and go. When we told him what had happened he was very understanding.

It was obvious from our experiences that the staff dont communicate with each other very well and this resulted in us becoming extremely disappointed as we had heard and read so many great things about the resort. It just goes to show it is the little things mean the world to customers and this failed to happen for us. We will never stay here again.

There are a few positives about the resort such as the location which is great for shopping and we ordered a deluxe room which was very clean.

We stayed here for 3 nights was meant to have a deluxe room with a balcony but was given a room that was at the back of the hotel quiet but looked out onto the maintainence area, we kept the curtains closed. When we first arrived I payed with my credit card and the dude charged me 7000 exchange rate what a rip I would have payed in rupiah if i knew. Some of the lights didn't work and there was a million switches every night we had to muck around trying to turn them all off other than that the pool is nice and restaurant is nice for breakfast but overpriced if u were paying for a meal. The surroundings are beautiful and well maintained with ponds and gardens, staff are friendly.

We are currently staying at kuta sea view and can't wait to leave tomorrow. Every night we have to put up with loud doof doof music until 1am. This is all we can hear in our room whilst trying to sleep. We were even woken to it this morning before 7am. I'm not sure who wants to hear this type of music at this time of the morning. If this is what happens at your hotel every night then you as a hotel need to make your guests well aware of it upon them booking. I have spoken to reception and had them come listen to what we have to put up with but to no avail. And no, we are not "oldies" but are entitled to be able to sleep in the comfort if a room we have paid for at night.

Your comment especially on music issue from our Restaurant , this issue has been taken on board today and double glass is started to be intalled in our cottages ( room 121 and 122 by this afternoon ), type of music and it's time of operation was also part of discussion and immediately implemented.

We again would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience

We are currently staying here & haven't had a great experience! Firstly we arrived after a long day on the boat from gili t to a room that wasn't ready, although we were upgraded to what is called a deluxe suite we were really looking forward to the sea view, we are situated very close to the front of the hotel and have had nothing but noise and interruptions throughout our stay including the LOUD music every night until late as well as being woken up guests in the adjoining room every night at 2 or 3am. On our fourth night here the guests next door opened the adjoining door to our room at 1am, this concerns as we are unsure of who else has been in this room while we have been out! The room is neat tidy and welcoming although the towels resemble something like old cleaning rags. We are very please with the spread at breakfast and enjoyed our experience at the spa but unfortunately will not be recommending this hotel to friends and family or returning in the future. Further to our disappointment my husband is suffering back pain from the bed, we feel the price we have payed for this experience could have been spent elsewhere.

Dear Valued Guest,
Thanks you for the comments.
Regret, to know some of the facilities and services were not to your expectation, but some actions have been taken to follow up all the issues coming up such us by installing double glass to each individual cottage ( 4 rooms ) which situated closed with the Pool and the Restaurant ( 2 rooms were done , and other 2 rooms were being completed by this week ) to reduce the noise coming out from the Restaurant and rescheduling the music 's time itself .
other issue was on towel, the new towels are ready to be distributed by this week since .
