“In the heart of Kuta!”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

If you are looking for a hotel in the heart of Kuta that is close to everything but still feels like a little slice of paradise, look no further. I stayed at Seaview on my second trip to Bali when I visited with a girlfriend and we wanted something affordable, central and comfortable. The food is great, nightly BBQ's for the diehard Aussies, room service and a breakfast buffet to die for. The Hotel is smack band on the main road, with only the road to separate the hotel from the beach but it never felt too busy or loud when lounging by the pool at the front on the hotel. Little lane ways connecting to the main strip are easy to find and easy to navigate.
The staff are wonderful and were always willing to help.

Although I found it was extremely hard to contact to hotel prior to arriving, I had accidentally typed an incorrect email when confirming the reservation and needed to contact to hotel to advise of a flight delay but was unable to do so via phone or using the email address provided. The room was clean although maybe a little dated. Of note, there are no elevators within the hotel. The pool was clean, pool area comfortable and there were pool towels provided.

I would recommend Kuta Seaview for anyone looking to stay in the heart of Kuta on a budget!

Room Tip: Ask for a second floor room, great sunsets!

OUr flights were delayed into Denpassar but our friendly driver was waiting for us with a big smile and traditional Balinese uniform. The hotel transfer at around $15 was very comfortable and we began our 10 day trip very relaxed. We pulled up to the hotel which was right on the main road by the beach but once you step inside to the main lobby, you feel as if you are a million miles away from the noisy hustle and bustle of Kuta. And the delicious welcome drink also helped! Beautifully decorated buildings and grounds, we were in the main block towards the back. Gorgeous entrance and the rooms were even better. Very well designed with a HUGE comfy double bed, and a fantastic day bed on our balcony. The pool area was lovely, with great big beds and table service from the very friendly waiters. The pool, whilst small, was never crowded and we always had a bed without any troubles. What really stood out for us was the food at the hotels restaurant. From the big comfy seats to the heavenly Mediterranean food, it was worth ever penny of the slightly more expensive bill (by Kuta standards anyway). We would share a selection of salads and bread at lunch time and the dinner menu offered so much choice that we went every night whilst in Kuta for 4 days! Fantastic location for the beach and shopping areas although about a 15 minute walk to Legian for the nightlife. Not really an issue though as taxis were only $2 (but make sure you get them to use the meter!) Would we stay again? For sure!

The best part about the Kuta Seaview Resort is its location.. The hotel is located right at the start of the main road and directly opposite the Kuta beach. This makes movement much easier. A 24/7 store, 24 hrMcCafe n KFC are also next to the hotel.
Even though the hotel is on the busiest roads in Kuta area, the entire environment is very quiet. The resort has limited number of rooms, and that might be another reason for the same.
The hotel staff is very helpful, and the guy at the reception always made it a point to call us by our names, which gave it quite a personal touch.
The only letdown were the breakfast buffet which was very basic, and the spa. In fact they should not even call it a spa.Its just a room where they give spa treatments.
We had taken the spa package, otherwise would have never opted for the same.
The rooms are decent sized and the sleep quality is good.
Overall there is not much to fault with the resort if they remove the word spa from their name.

This hotel is located right in the middle of Kuta close to shops, market shopping and the beach.
When we arrived around 6ish at night the check in was slow and we were asked if we wanted to stay at their other hotel for a night which we said no to so not sure the reason they ask this.

The staff were really friendly and helpul though for the whole trip.

The food in the restaurant was amazing and the Chef Roberto went out of his way for us the whole time we were there nothing was too hard.

I've stayed in many hotels in Bali I would say the best about this place is the location and the food but the reasons I wouldn't stay here again are the rooms are small, the pool area is small so it's not appealing to chill in at the hotel and I didnt feel I could escape the hussle.

We stayed in the Lanai Seaview would not recommend we just had a view of other buildings.

This really is just an average hotel if you are wanting to stay somewhere central.

Dear Guest,
Warmest Greetings from Kuta Sea View Boutique Resort & Spa
Thank you for sharing your stay experience with us. We will be sure to take your feedback on board to continue to seek for improvement upon current service in an effort to achieve excellence.
We do an appology taking your time during the check in process, as we're fully booked and our staff did an effort to allocate you at our sister hotel for one night.
Some Premier Deluxe Cottages are available , all are in Balinese Style, which located on ground floor with much larger in size comparing Lanai Deluxe Seview that you stayed in which located on the 3rd floor.
Your complimentary on our Restarant is much appreciated and it has been shared and passed it on Roberto, our Chef.

We hope to welcome you again in the near future.

We just spent 3 days here at the end of our Bali holiday, we stayed here because of the great location to Poppies and Matahari store. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, one downside is the thin opaque wall between the bathroom and the bed, and also the outside hallway, light shines through here all night, and if someone goes to the bathroom in the night it glares in your eyes.
We regret having a couples spa treatment, massage was divine, but then left wet in an air-conditioned room after having scrub mixture applied to us, freezing, then the last part of treatment was a couples flower bath, what a joke! one small household bath that was supposed to fit two people, literally right next to a toilet, not romantic, comfortable or what we thought we paid for, we would have liked our money back.
Pool area is great, modern comfy lounges, but drinks very expensive. Garden pathways and fish ponds are great, big thumbs up to the gardeners.
Overall a nice peaceful place to stay, no elevators, so if you have trouble with stairs go ground floor.

Room Tip: ground floor if you don't like stairs.

I'm Indonesian living abroad, so once a year I visit home and normally spend a few days in Bali for relaxing. This year we tried to stay in Kuta Seaview for a change (normally we stayed in Nusa Dua area). The location was great, also with the Beachwalk almost next to the hotel, and Poppy lane nearby for a nice cheap drinks option. It was exactly laid in the big street, but when we're inside the room/terrace area, it's still quiet and peaceful. The spa was heavenly (expensive though), the pool was cool, and the restaurant (Rosso Vivo) was excellent. We loved our stay, and will definitely visit again.
