Description: The Balcony is a place for youngsters and old folks alike to come eat, drink, chill and hangout. It is well known for its reputation of having famous guests, mostly from the surfing world such as Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Mick Fanning, the Iron brothers (Bruce and Andy) and many more. Photos of the celebrity guests taken at The Balcony can be seen on the restaurants own "Wall of Fame". Not only does the Balcony have a Wall of Fame showing photos of the big guys in surfing, but also personal photographs of friends and families decorate the walls of the restaurant. Free internet wi-fi and a display shelve stocked with the latest magazines in surfing, fashion and entertainment are available for guests as well. Legendary surfboards on the ceiling embellish the surf look of the restaurant and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Aside from all that, the main reason guests keep coming back is no doubt, the great taste of our food. The Balcony provides breakfast, lunch and dinner of Western and Indonesian cooking. From steaks to pasta's, vegetarian dishes and desserts, there is something for everyone! Fresh blended ice fruit juices, pure squeezed juices, smoothies and milkshakes will quench your thirst, as do The Balcony's infamous Frozen Margaritas. All these aspects make The Balcony have a homey feel and a comfortable place for their guests. When the surf is down, come on up!

“Food ok, terrible service”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

Staying at nearby UN's hotel, we had to have breakfasts at this cafe, since the hotel has no its own kitchen, and provides daily breakfast vouchers to the cafe. We were treated like the lowest priority customers with that vouchers comparing to usual customers with cash. Even if there were only hotel guests in the cafe, the waiters could choose a "target" for ignoring (not only us) and serve them in the last turn even if the guest came earlier. Once i even had to come directly to a waiter, and make him take my order, quite toughly, after that he swiftly served us. Cannot understand where is the traditional balinese welcomeness that we met in all other restaurants... Disappointing.
As for the food, it is really ok, nothing special, but decent and tasty, all the dishes i tried therere. That is why my mark is not 1.

Superb little restaurant close to the beach and our hotel (Pop! Kuta). The seafood skewer is one of the best I've ever had. Nice ambience - lots of boardgames and stuff too.

I'd definitely recommend a meal here if you're in Kuta. Not very expensive, either.

“Where all the surfers meets”
Reviewed August 29, 2013 via mobile

I knew this restaurant along time ago from a local surf magazine. I went there last June '13. The location is really hard to get cuz you need to walk along from beachwalk mall to Benesari street. I took more than 5 minutes on regular walking and trough the alley from the main street to Benesari. I suggest you to go by motorcycle.. Its a small alley so don't use car or taxi cuz its gonna be jammed.

This restaurant is become one area with the Un's hotel and opposite of traders riz (surf shop) and circle K.

I had a red snapper with potatoes a side dish (you can see the pic) its quite good tho for dinner... The taste was good cuz i never ate a snapper like the way they served to me. They also gave me a free lime as a welcome.

The waitress is quite active to the customer by asking how's the food? Do you like it? Where you from? And said have a nice day in Bali when i left back to the hotel.

You can meet some pro surfers over there and see the roots of surfing history in Bali besides the tubes restaurant.
