Just go. If this place was in London or New York it would have two Michelin stars and cost four times as much. It's true high-end without any of the annoying pretentious stuff.
We walked passed Cuca on the way to Jimbaran beach and were impressed by the slick beautiful grounds. So we went in one night without a booking, knowing nothing about the place. It is simply amazing.
Sat at the food bar, which I highly recommend, had front row seats to an incredibly pristine, excellently run kitchen. The chef, Kevin, is brilliant and entertaining. Managed to talk to us despite it being in the middle of dinner rush.
The food is wonderful, we had 3 dishes each and everyone was surprising delicious fun and unique. Food is tapas style but simply amazing and done in a relaxed and very hip way. Lots of exotic local touches blended in and everything comes from Indonesia, with most being directly from Bali.
It very much deserves the no.1 place in this area.
