Well what a stunning place. The staff, the food, and the unique design. After alerting the staff on the phone that I was gluten intolerant. Each waiter was so lovely and attentive to my dietary requirements telling me what I could and couldn't have and were even willing to amend some dishes so that i was allowed to have them . The cocktails are amazing and presented in an amazing modern way . Try the Bloody Mary . Great for a romantic dinner. I love this place and will defiantly come back. Highlights : the crunchy chicken. Chicken chichas and the watermelon salad xxx

We spent a single night on Bali on the way back home from a holiday on Flores so we just took a stroll along the beach, to have dinner in one of the numerous seafood restaurants located along the beach but were attracted by the sign of a tapas restaurant because we had mainly Indonesian and some Italian food for the last 3 weeks. We walked to the restaurant and were handed a flyer which stated that the chef worked in Michelin star awarded restaurants. We hesitated to walk right in because it seemed to be more upper class than we expected and we were not dressed for the occasion. After another short walk on the beach we thought: "what the ... it's the last dinner of the holiday, so let's just do it". We walked in and felt welcome from the start. We decided to have the chefs tasting meal. This consisted of 10 dishes to share and we absolutely loved everyone of them. Made of locally produced ingredients, which is a very good choice because the land produces very tasteful products, the local community benefits, no costful and CO2 producing transport and delivered fresh to the kichen. The dishes were cooked to perfection, some of the preparations were real taste explosions in your mouth. Absolutely Michelin star worthy. (We visited numerous 1 - 3 star restaurants in Holland and the quality of the food at Cuca can certainly be compared with the better ones!) The asian gaspacho that accompanied the BBQ octopus was outstanding, but all the dishes tasted great, desserts included. Staff is young, but enthusiastic. We never expected to find this restaurant quality in this location but were very happy that we were in the right spot at the right moment. To Balinese standards, the prices are on the high side, but having a similar dinner in our home country would have cost 4 - 5 times as much! This restaurant would be the reason for us to choose Bali as a destination or stopover for one of our next holidays. Thank you all very much!

We read all positive reviews and therefore wanted to try this new restaurant, especially while the Chef/ restaurateur honed his skills also at Michelin three-star El Bulli.
We have seen the inspiring video of El Bulli and we therefore triggered even more.
It was quite ( the place still has to be discovered we presume) and we sat at the food bar looking into the kitchen.

It was great to see how every dish is prepared with love for food and nicely decorated.
We have tried several dishes ( all for sharing) and in one word all are fantastic.
The ingredients are in balance and new combinations which create a WOW effect.

We both love cooking and when traveling have been in a lot of good restaurants.
We therefore are very critical and this is simply the best food we have tried up till now.

We wish Cuca a lot of success and recommend everybody to bring the restaurant a visit.

I had dinner with my partner on Sept. At first when we saw the menu we were confused what to eat. But the waiter there explained it in a way that makes you feel tempting to try it.

When the food came, we were surprise with the appearance of the food. It is very unique and when you taste it, then you will find out why they are no. 1 ranking in tripadvisor among others in the same area. It is soooo delicious, tasteful, every bite of different food always surprise you in a nice way. That's why it is like a journey of dining!!

Virginia, the owner, is also very pleasant, humble to approach our table, asked about how's our food, making sure that everything is up to our expectation. Special credit to Mr. Kunto Aji as well, restaurant mgr, who gave us suggestion of the foods..

We will come back again to try the Bali Breakfast for dessert!! Bcoz we weren't able to try it...

We visited during the last week of October. My wife and I had 5 different plates, and dessert and they were all delicious. Cuca has a special way of blending different ingredients you would never think of, and they are absolutely delicious. We had the opportunity to meet the Chef, which was a great person! He spoke Spanish perfectly with us and was very welcoming, (we are from Mexico) A MUST in Bali.
