Was invited through NGO I worked for to visit this restaurant. Virginia took me to a short sight seeing of the restaurant, and then i decide to sit on the "bar" table.
kevin came, served me various of delicious food with amazing natural colors, and explain what's in side, their idea of the food, i really can feel their passion and so much love in the food and the restaurant. And when I taste it... hmmm..... yumm yumm!! there's no words can describe exactly how it feel, as it... deliciously-brilliant! OMG.. feels like having foodgasm.
My fav food, all of those! lol
and the idea of their dessert, Bali breakfast, if i'm not mistaken, its wonderful. It's look like egg yolk, but it wasn't. It's sweet melted-runny mango! you break it like egg yolk, then you scope it. and when its entering your mouth, I feel speechless... Too bad I couldn't upload the pic!!
superb!!
if you live in Bali, or visiting Bali, you MUST come and give it a try.

You'll feel a warm greetings from their staff, wonderful setting of the restaurant, glorious delicous food, and the passion of Kevin and Virginia to serve you the best!
love it to the max!!

Quick little visit to Bali from Darwin for the weekend as we were walking down for BBQ seafood on the beach it started to rain. We turned around and saw a new place called Cuca. Went in there and we were both blown away by the quality of the food!! We were in Bali for two nights and had dinner there both times. Small menu granted but awesome food, try the Chicha, they are top notch. Pretty happy that it rained on Friday night. watch out Chandi, you have some competition!

After reading the tripadvisor reviews (28 excellent reviews out if 28!) my wife and I decided to brave the evening traffic jams to check-out cuca. I am happy to report that the hype is justified. The service, food, and bustling kitchen (we sat at the bar) is on a par with any of the fine dining restaurants I've visited in London. Some amazing flavour combinations hit the sweet, sour, and spices taste buds all at once. It many ways it shouldn't work but it does.......and does it very well.

Heston Blumenthal may have Michelin Stars for creativity but at cuca chef "Chi" and his Spanish partner have managed to pull off similar sensory assault for a fraction of the cost.

We're so impressed we're going back again before we leave. What a great addition to Bali's restaurant scene.

Found this place on trip adviser and thought the previous reviews deserved verifying. What a treat. Walking distance from our hotel. Completely unique. Food was absolutely fabulous. Have eaten in many restaurants throughout Bali and this is the best.

We are staying in the villas next to cuca and because it was so close we strolled in Cuca on our first night, not knowing anything about it. We was not expecting such quality in the food, and the unique experience of the restaurant as a whole. The restaurant has four different spaces, you can sit at a long table at the back of the restaurant and watch the chefs cooking your food. When they are ready the chef will bring them over to you and explain the ingredients. You can tell that head chef and owner Kevin has trained under Michelin star chefs as the food is spectacular and is cooked and presented in an Heston Blumenthal manner.

As well as the 'live theatre' experience you can dine in the main restaurant and for extra privacy curtains can be pulled around your table. Throw in an outside bar and chill out area and you have a truly great place to eat and drink. Owners Kevin and his partner Virginia made time to speak to us and made us feel really welcome. We have since been back to eat or drink most nights, so glad Cuca is on our doorstep! Best of all the food and drink is well priced - PLEASE DON'T CHANGE!!

If we ever make it back to Bali, Cuca will be one of our first stops!

Jay and Amy from London.
