Imagine having a table facing out to the sea, sunset at the horizon, the sound of waves beating on the shore, your feet on soft, fine sand and a platter of seafood dinner is served to you under candlelight. This is the Jimbaran dining experience every visitor to Bali should not miss.
There are probably a hundred restaurants along this really long stretch of Jimbaran beach (so don't expect an exclusive, romantic, candlelight dinner). One driver recommended Cuisine, which we called up and offered us free pickup service between the restaurant and our hotel. Reading through tripadvisor, we concluded that all the restaurants here are pretty much the same - average in food quality, but great in dining experience.
Other than the alacarte menu, Cuisine offers three options of set dinner. We had the mid-range set which comes with a small lobster, crab, fish, tiger prawns, clams, satay (all bbq style), vegetables, rice and two beer for less than Rp900k. The seafood is fresh (you can choose them yourselves if you like at the entrance to the restaurant) but the preparation is rather bland.
This is definitely something everyone should try while in Bali but you can probably just go to any restaurant and get the same thing. Just go for the experience.
