I checked into the AYANA Resort on Saturday Dec. 5th, checked out on the 7th. After some initial hassle upon check in, we were able to visit the onsite Italian restaurant for dinner and it was pretty good. Next we went to the Rock Bar...it's a great scene, but because the waves crash up on the patio area it leaves everything wet and smelling of mildew. Not to mention wet butts from sitting on wet lounges :( The staff was very accomodating to bring towels to sit on though. Drinks are pretty weak though...you must request strong drinks.
We also had the pleasure of stumbling upon a Banded Sea Krait (sea snake)...interesting from a wildlife perspective...not so much when it comes out of the chair you want to lounge on...
The grounds are quite nice, little works going on here and there, but nothing I couldn't deal with. The room was comfy, good bed, good breakfast, service was very accomodating.
I would recommend this place for the service...but y'all gotta do something about the snakes!!!
Loved the pools!More
