“Ayana Villa Wedding Services”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

We used the wedding package services at the Ayana for a recent family wedding. Our wedding coordinator and his team were very professional in all respects including attention to detail. All services were provided in accordance with the contract package we selected and the wedding coordinator was available throughout the preparations, ceremony, cocktail reception and wedding reception. The staff was also very attentive to the bride and groom and guests throughout the entire wedding activities. The 3 bedroom wedding villa with the private pool and ocean view was amazing! The decor was both tasteful and artful and amenities were many and of good quality. The best thing ever was having a 24 hour butler! The Ayana's excellent services resulted in a wedding beyond expectation and perfect in every way. Their wedding services are highly recommended! We also had rooms at the Ayana Villa separate from the wedding villa and found the rooms to be of good quality. Service was efficient and friendly. We highly recommend the Ayana Villa Resort.

Tried two types of room at Ayana, guest room is just like all the other five star guest room, nothing special but a little overpriced; however, the cliff villa is really great, worth trying.

Breakfast is good and plenty of choices, also offering many japanses food

The private beach is not good for swimming, but truly beautiful

Rock bar is a must try, but you have to que early for seats with good view.

Room Tip: The common guest room is nothing special

The minute you walk in to this place, you know something magical is about to happen. The smell of cold towels infused with eucalyptus (that's what I think it was), lush green landscaping, smiles all over, beauty all around and good vibes...it was all just enchanting!

My Husband and I traveled to Bali last December and booked one of the Villas in Ayana with a Private infinity plunge pool, Sun-beds, Gazebo, along with many other amazing amenities and needless to say, we loved each and everything about it! During our stay, our mornings started with taking a dip in the pool, having exotic drinks, and watching birds & butterflies hanging out in our garden fluttering their wings to say hi!

Their restaurant and Spa was great too but even better was THE Rock Bar! It's an open air bar hanging over the cliff and above the ocean. We spent a couple of evenings watching sunsets and sensing each twinkling ocean wave that was hitting the rocks beneath the bar. My Husband simply loved the VIP treatment we got there. While people from all over the places (hotel non-guests) waited in lines, we could simply walk in and directly be taken to the Rock bar and were seated on the best seats in the house. One of the best perks to stay at Ayana! Probably the most spectacular place to raise our glasses and count our blessings.

Even though we weren't on our honeymoon, the staff and our butler kept giving us some lovely surprises every night we would return to our villa (Bath made up with flowers, exotic fresh fruits, sweet messages written in flowers/cards). This whole experience was just too special to our hearts and truly bliss!!

Stayed here for the 2nd time for 2 nights as I specially wanted to show my mother this pool area and the rock bar. After a slow checkin we were shown to our room (lowest level room facing the airport) which was nice but not as nice as my previous room (club level room facing straight out towards the ocean without the privileges). and told the inclinator was broken but we could use the stairs.( it was being used by workmen) No way could mum get back up those stairs which are trying even for younger fit people. So dissapointing but luckily reopened the next afternoon so we did manage to spend a few hours down there. This is my idea of bliss, big comfortable day beds, beautiful views and lovely and attentive staff. I could spend hours down there just reading with the occasional swim. Had dinner that night at the seafood restaurant - I should have checked my bill as for what we ate we thought was not good value and the food disappointing although the view and location makes up for this. Overall I would stay here again if all I wanted to do was laze around and not go out of the resort, as the resort is isolated down a very long driveway, and would check that the inclinator was available for resort guest use..

We had our wedding in this hotel in March 2013 and I must say that our guests (including ourselves) were very impressed with the level of service that was provided to us throughout the day. We had the ceremony at Astina chapel followed by cocktail and dinner at the Chandra Surya Lawn. The view was beautiful but the only bad thing was that it was so hot and there were no breeze at all on that night, we had 8 industrial size fans but it still didnt help with the heat! I would recommend Ayana for big wedding groups as they seem to cater to this size of a wedding mostly. We stayed at the Club Suite room for the next 5 nights before moving to Ubud and we loved the staff there, they were so helpful, they remember who we are by name basis and provided excellent service to us during our stay there. Our favourite pool will be the Asmara pool (for the villas) as it is less busy and we love the cascading pool setup. We tried dining at Dava but not too impressed with the quality, in comparison to what people has been saying about the chef's award etc. The winner restaurant was actually the Japanese one (honsen) where the service was great and the food was fresh and authentic. Overall it was a lovely experience and we will definitely go back for our wedding anniversaries in the future.

Room Tip: If you can spare extra, it is worth upgrading to the suite rooms as it is double the size of the sta...

My wife and i recently spent 5 nights at the Ayana.
We spent the first night in a club suite. The room was large and looks recently refurbed. The bathroom was large with a huge bath but not enough lights! To dark. Not enough light for the wife, a small criticism. The club though we found dissapointing. We enjoyed the restraurants much better. We upgraded on our next night to a cliff face villa. This was a huge step up and if you can afford the extra i would recommend it every time.
The privacy, the view, the room all of a high standard. The butler service was inconsitatnt though. We experienced everything from very good sevice to no service at all depending on who was working. On some occasions we were attended to with very attentive service and at other times were refered on and told it was not their area. Some of the butlers might need more tuition. The rock bar was great but go as it cools down as there is not shelter. The pick for us was the seafood restraurant next to the rock bar. Great food and views. Another plus is the variety of eating venues. The food at this can be a bit of mix but overall good. We had one very ordinary experince at Dava. The order was taken incorrectly and then only food for one of us appeared. Im not sure how they thought when we ordered a degustation that only one of us was eating! Then almost immediatly another waiter appeared to remove my clean and empty plate and asked how my meal was? This was also our 30th anniversery dinner so more than alittle disapointing. At least the wine was good. The breafast at the club was very average but the breakfast at Dava was excellent. The pools were good but service around them again was lacking. Overall if you are going as a couple i would recommend a villa as the pools all had alot of familys and kids.

Room Tip: Cliff face villas for space and privacy

We stayed one night at Ayana Resort and Spa during April 2013. In my opinion, this place is ideal for weddings and honeymooners!

If you are a guest at Ayana, do visit the Rock Bar during sunset. Moreover hotel guests do not need to join the queue as priority is given to hotel guests. There are many activities within Ayana. You can have a game of tennis, table tennis, go for a swim, spa or take in the view of the flora and fauna in the garden. Or you can also visit the library and loan some DVDs, books or magazines. If you are travelling with children, there is a big playground.

The rates for Ayana are more expensive comparing with most hotels in Bali but do consider Ayana if you will like to pamper yourself!
