“Wonderful From Start to Finish -- a total WOW”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2009

We spent three nights at the IC Bali. We booked a club room which includes a meet & greet at the airport. Due to recent Indonesian government changes, the InterContinental staff can no longer take care of getting your visa for you, but they were still able to whisk us quickly through all of the immigration desks. They then took us into their in-airport lounge, offered us cold towels and a refreshing ginger tea, and when we were ready took us via private car to the resort.

From start to finish, service here is top-notch. We checked in at the club, which beautiful in a wonderful colonial style with tall ceilings, and elegantly appointed. Staff was impeccable, wonderfully friendly and very attentive to all of our needs. We were upgraded to a Duplex Suite in the club wing, which is a two-story affair on the top floor. There is a seating area and half bath downstairs, as well as a balcony, and the bedroom and full bath (with separate tub and shower) upstairs. The room was very comfortable, the bed especially so. The bath was roomy enough for 2, and the walk-in shower was huge.

The staff and service here is really what we found to make our trip. Everyone was very attentive, especially the club staff (where we enjoyed evening cocktails and snacks). I took advantage of a spa treatment and found the spa staff to be wonderful as well and the price for service provided outstanding.

We have stayed at InterContinental hotels all over the world and feel that this hotel, by far, is the best of the chain that we've experienced so far. We will most definitely be returning to this resort in the future.

My wife and i stayed there for 3 nights, it was very nice hotel. The room was cozy , clean and got balcony. They have lots of pool, kids gonna like it. They have private beach, clean sand and the best part was they have message just near the beach, superb. The breakfast was great, lots of variety and the service was smooth. Location is out of city, but it is to get taxi there. The definitely will come back again, cause we love Bali!

We stayed in a Singaraja room for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon and were really happy with our stay at the Intercontinental. The room was spacious, clean and decorated in a mix of modern and balinese style. The bed was huge and comfortable, international cable TV, a huge bathroom with lovely toiletries.

The hotel is set amongst beautiful vast gardens that you can spend hours walking around, full of frangipani trees and balinese statues and lakes. The pools are large and there are plenty of sunloungers.

On our first night we were invited to a cocktail party. As part of our room we had access to a lounge that served delicious free tea, cofee, juice and snacks all day, including scones at tea time and homemade crisps.

The hotel is set on a clean sweep of beach and offers body boards for the waves in the sea and bicycles to ride around the resort.

I would highly recommend this hotel for honeymooners as it is just 15 minutes from the airport so a great first stop on your trip.

Overall we really liked this hotel and found the experience lovely. The best features were the pools and the breakfast. The breakfast was not included in our package but it was worth paying (not that you have much choice as Jimbaran bay does not have nearby cafes to eat at)- the food and service were wonderful and really made for a great start to our day.
Our room was lovely and big but in a terrible part of the hotel (I think it was block 2, so try and avoid). Our balcony overlooked a 'contruction' site where a part of the hotel was being renovated. I wouldn't neccearily mind but considering that the hotel has 400 plus rooms and was by no means full they could have allocated us another room with a better outlook...
The hotel is in a lovely location on the beach, however it is quite isolated (which was ok for us as we later stayed in Seminyak where there are great restaurants etc) so you are kind of restricted to eating at the hotel for at least breakfast and lunch. Food and beverages are quite expensive for Bali- but being isolated they can charge what they want.

A very nice large hotel on the nice sandy beach with several large swimming pools.
Great destination for a relaxed lazy laying on the beach vacation.

Complementary upgrade to club room. Location is within reasonably reach. about 10 mins by taxi to Kuta but it's away from the crowd. It's has a private beach. Enjoy the beach and the pool area very much. The food was good too. Resturant and wine is pricy. Had a wonderful stay. Kid club operate all days. Has good supervision and activity.

My wife and I stayed for 5 days in a Club Intercontinental room. One of the advantages of the club room is the airport experience where you are greeted as a very welcome guest and taken to the lounge to relax whilst your immigation and luggage is seen to by hotel staff. It was a wonderful feeling not to have to join the hundreds of people all over the arrival hall filling in forms. We were the only people to be afforded this privilege on that day. No other hotel seems to offer this service. What a wonderful way to start your holiday.
The experience continued on arrival at the hotel where we were taken straight to the club lounge to await our butler. We could not have hoped for a better room which overlooked the club pool and sea which was luxurious, clean and had every amenity you could possibly require.
The avantages of the club room are extremely worthwhile and great value for money, from the amazing breakfasts in a choice of venues, fresh fruit bowls at the poolside, soft drinks and snacks all day , dont miss the complimentary afternoon tea and of course the evening drinks , cocktails and canapes.
The club pool is an added bonus with a quiet atmosphere and excellent service just a few steps away from the beach. Lots of comfortable sunbeds which there is no need to "pre book" as pool staff will always find you one.
Our experience of this hotel was fantastic (second time to hotel first time to club room)
and we cant praise the staff enough for the way we were treated, this was a special holiday for us and although we did not inform the hotel of this we felt that we left with very special memories because of the whole experience.
We will be going back as we coulnd not contemplate never visiting this wonderful place again.
