“Excellent stay at the Intercontinetal hotel”
Reviewed October 30, 2012 via mobile

I had a great romantic stay with my significant other in the intercontinental hotel. The grounds were beautiful, extensive and well maintained. The beach was very well maintained and was one of the nicest if not the best in Bali. The resort itself seems a bit old and furnishings in the room is looking tired. The service was excellent with smiling staff calling you by name, a very personal touch. Our room however initially had a faulty air con which could not be fixed. However, this was solved by a free upgrade to another room which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was average, not bad though: I had better in other luxury hotels such as sofitel and Marriott in other resort destinations. The bed though was prob the best we slept in many hotels. The pillows and mattresses were very comfy and we had a good night sleep. Lastly Jimbaran bay is a very good romantic location. The sunset is perfect, waters clean and the seafood excellent at the warungs along the same beach as the hotel. I would recommend a stay at this establishment for the location and service.

The hotel area is very huge! The have so many buildings but they don't have any enough sign. That's can make guests a little bit confuse to find out the way to their room.
It has many pools with view to the beach directly.
It has private beach so we can enjoy the sunset, swimming at the sea, surfing, sailing, spa, or just do sunbathing.
On Saturday night, don't forget to watch SOB (Spirit of Bali), a Bali dance performance from 7-9 pm.
The hotel is located at Uluwatu, Jimbaran. Not so far from airport or Kuta area.
The service is excellent and it has so many breakfast menu.
Recommended for family or honeymooner.

A total of 4 of us spent 5 nights at the InterContinental Bali using their "Get Together" package. No extra charge for the 3 and 4th persons; includes breakfast for 4, roundtrip airport transfer, and free internet. Great value in an excellent resort. Compared to other western style resorts, the InterContinental Bali will meet or exceed your expectations. The only drawback is that you also pay western resort prices for everything associated with the hotel. For example, food at the resort is good to very good, but pricey, especially when compared to restaurants across the street or elsewhere in town. The car and driver service in the hotel is also 2 to 3 times what you would pay if booking cars with outside vendors (the hotel uses some outside vendors for their drivers, so they must make a profit, I suppose).

Overall, however, you get what you pay for and the resort delivers on a wonderful, relaxing experience. There are several very large pools with ample lounge chairs and towels. Helpful staff are constantly walking around, so if you want to order a drink, snack, or meal, by the pool or even on the beach, it's available.

The beach by the hotel is also a plus. Very shallow and gradual, so you can go out very far. It's also a very un-developed beach, so no motorized vehicles from what we can see, no beach vendors hawking tourist items, etc. Up the beach in either direction are seafood restaurants which mostly sell the same stuff (grilled seafood in a Balinese sauce) and somewhat overpriced, but should be consistently good. We only tried one of these restaurants.

Room Tip: The Singhala suite (2 floors) are comfortable and interesting. Good since we had 4 people sharing a...

We stayed at the IC Bali in Sept 12 and couldnt fault anything about the resort or the staff, everyone made us feel so welcome for the entirity of our 2 week stay. Having booked a club suite, everything surpassed our expectations from check in to departure. Planet Trekkers provided our daughter with hours of endless fun and created some wonderful memories for her (she's only 4 and has already asked when are we going back). The club longe set up a private breakfast for us overlooking the sea one morning and can only say, what a way to start the day! Well done IC Bali, look forward to seeing you again.

A member of priorityclub and stayed with our 2 kids in Singaraja room 5309 from 22-25 Oct. We must say that beach and the resort pools and surrounding is perfect except the very basic : beds! this is rather unusual compared to all other holiday inn, crown plaza and intercontinental chains we have stayed around Asia Pacific.
Beds were dissapointedly lumpy, with worn out springs, did not have a good rest, woke up with sore backs the next day. On the second day, we did spoke to the receptionist desk staff about the back-aching beds and asked for possibility to change, noted by a staff but no actions throughout our stay, the bed you see ia what you get. We did not want to ask again as it seems the hotel staffs could not be bothered with the bad quality of their beds.
Shower in the room badly needing more water preasure.
Room is also a bit dusty.
Would definitely consider other resort for our next trip to Bali.

Where to begin!!
We have stayed at the Bali Intercon on several occasions, in fact we were married here in April 2006.
Prior to this we had stayed in several hotels in Bali however would now never consider staying anywhere else than the Bali Intercontinental.
We were greeted at the Airport by a delightful concierge who escorted us to a waiting Mercedes. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with "Welcome home Mr & Mrs Griffiths", what a lovely touch. Many of the staff from our previous stays were still here and recounted the times we had shared previously and were amazed by how much our Daughter had grown since our last visit (she is now 3). We really did feel like we were coming home.
We were escorted to the Club Lounge for the most friendly and efficient of check-ins. As always we stayed in Club Accomodation, an amazing level of comfort and you really are treated like royalty.
Prior to arriving we had arranged with the Intercon staff (Mr Alwin, a most amazing and special man, in fact he arranged our Wedding in 2006) for our Daughter to be Christened. Mr Alwin tracked down the same Minister that had Married us, what a most cherished and special moment for us. On the morning of the Blessing we returned to our room from breakfast to find the most beautiful bouquets of flowers for my Daughter and I and a corsage for my husband to wear at the ceremony. This was not something we had arranged, however provided by the hotel as a gift. We were so touched by the thoughtfulness and kindness displayed.
A special mention should go to the Nannies and the staff at Planet Trekkers, we could not have left our Daughter in. Enter hands. We have never met a team of more thoughtful and dedicated care givers. A special mention should go to Suci who escorted us to Waterbomb so that Mum and Dad could ride the bigger rides. Suci is the most caring, thoughtful and dedicated Nanny we could have ever met.
It was also my Birthday during our stay, we returned to the room from dinner to find a beautiful Cake and flowers. Such a lovely gesture, I was really touched.
During our stay our Daughter lost her favorite doll, the staff could not do enough to help find it, no stone was unturned and it was returned to her.
The hotel is amazing, grounds exquisite however it's the staff that make us return every time.
The Intercon Mission of "Our Guests Want To Return " is exceeded is very way possible.
We will never stay anywhere else and cannot wait to return next year (and we haven't even left yet!)

Room Tip: We always stay in Club, well worth it

This is the best hotel on the oceanside in Bali! Everything is fantastic! Starting with the rooms, pools and all the infrastucture, ending with brilliant staff! We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the excellent choise! Green territory, many restaurants with so different cuisine, silent club pool with always warm water! Also it would be the great place for families with children. We will definitely come here in couple of years with our own children! And what is the best of all our staying- we've made so great photosession of our couple here, so the memorier of our being here will stay with us forever. Our many-many thanks to all the photogrhaphy team of the hotel: Maria, Niko and Andrea- you are the best. For those, coming to this wonderful hotel- photosession on the territory is the must!
So thank you all! We will never forget our honeymoon. Thanks to you it was perfect!

Room Tip: Club rooms and Suites are great
