Beautiful setting, lovely ambience. Actually the food was quite nice - shame about the service. All they need to do is employ decent wait staff and reprint their menu so it can be read. Even though my meal was no where near what I ordered, it was quite tasty. My husband didn't even get a main despite the fact it was recommended by the useless wait staff. We left shaking our heads at the opportunity they have totally missed

A bit hard to find. You have to go to Villa Balquisse, which is behind the Royal Beach Club across the street to the Intercontinental hotel. You have to enter by the car park of the Royal Beach Club but then go to the back.
Then, you enter by a nice antique door and find an amazing garden. You can eat on the terrace or inside. The atmosphere is really timeless. The place is really beautiful.
The food is simple but really good. The price is more than affordable.
In final, a really nice dining experience...

I went there with my husband and parents in law on the last day in Bali. After having nice food in warung Made, bebek tepian sawah and Naughty Nuri, this one is nowhere close. Maybe since I'm also Indonesian so I'm more picky in tasting asian food. Lunch menu is limited. We actually find it hard to pick one we like (since it's limited) and ingredients didn't taste fresh. The only nice things is the juice which is freshly squeezed. If you have a choice having meal somewhere else do so.

This restaurant is set back in the garden of a hotel. We weren't staying athe hotel but were made to feel very welcome.

The tables are set in the garden, next to the open plan kitchen.

There's a good selection of European and traditional Indonesian dishes on offer.

Cooking is fresh, but simple. Gado Gado had crisp vegetables and tofu, with a delicate peanut sauce. The warm prawn noodle salad had four whole prawns, in their shells, on top of noodles, crisp salad and a light dressing. The Sumatran Dry Beef curry main course looked like a small portion but was deceptively filling. Served with rice. The red snapper was fileted. Beautifully presented.

Very reasonably priced. A fraction of the coat of a hotel meal.

We visited this restaurant a couple of times when staying at Kupu Kupu Jimbaran. It's about 10 mins walk away, opposite the Intercontinental hotel. The gardens are a lovely romantic setting for this restaurant, although it's enclosed and doesn't get much breeze. The food is Asian and Indonesian, with some Balinese specialties (such as black rice pudding), and the prices are very reasonable indeed. The staff are very friendly and enjoy a chat. It's a little oasis, and a great alternative to the local warungs, beach barbeque, and the expensive Western-style hotel restaurants. Highly recommended.
