We are just back from 4 beautiful days at Bali and an amazing stay at Mango Tree, we do like Bali and come very often, it was now more than two years since our last visit and our stay has just reminded us of the many things we like so much about the island.
We do have, however, a new favorite one, Mango Tree Villas, thanks to our extremely nice and warm hosts, Andrea, Lupe we have felt at home and very well look after. A true home away from home and in this case at the very heart of a very real Bali.
Mango Tree is a truly Balinese experience, from its location to the warm attention and service, right behind Jimbaran's main temple and a short walk away to Jimbaran beach, quiet, peaceful and so much part of its surroundings and the community, for a few days we have felt part of that community, the smiles and greetings on our way back and forth to the beach, the slow pace of a very traditional and established little town, the offerings and ceremonies, we were lucky to be there for the past full moon, the convenience access to every other area, very close to the airport, the great beaches in the Bukit and Nusa Dua, and now that the roads are getting better not far from the restaurants and night life in Seminyak, though we were happily surprise that Jimbaran is not short any more of very nice and cool restaurants.
Most of the times, however, we just felt like staying in our own private paradise and the comfort of the villa, trying to get our small daughter out of it was a daily fight, you can really see and feel, the love and attention to detail that their owners have put into it, the villas are spacious, private, comfortable, homey and functional and with so many little touches you would hardly find in a hotel room, the beautiful hats and beach bag that we have to restrained from taking home, your own collection of books, magazines and DVD, the exquisite, personal and very relevant decor.
The experience and local knowledge from the owners and the team, the passion they have for this beautiful island and the willingness to share it, makes for an unforgettable stay and probably a very different experience to that found in a larger more impersonal hotel.
I think we found our home in Bali and are very much looking forward to return. Once again and on behalf of our little family, thanks a lot for a wonderful holiday.
