“WOW!!! spectacular views!!!”
Reviewed April 21, 2014 via mobile

My husband & I along with our two children stayed at Ayana Resort for a family wedding. On the first day we were there we were at the main pool & decided to pop over to the Rock Bar & Pool to take a look when the kids were with the grandparents. We ended up staying for a while & were treated like VIP's from the moment we walked in, the waiters were so friendly & accomodating. We were taken to a private lounge/bed overlooking the adult only infinite pool & ordered Mojito's, they were the best mojito's we have ever had! (my husband is really picky with his Mojito's & he agreed that they were amazing!) We relaxed, swam drank & took in the views. This place is pure bliss! We had to get back to the children & got ready for the night as we had plans. When those plans fell through, we took the opportunity to return to the Rock Bar to experience the sunset that we have heard so much about. It was breathtaking!!! As guests at the hotel we were given priority entry, the staff were lovely & seated us promptly. We ordered more mojito's, listened to the chill out music played by the dj & watched the sunset. One word to describe this was AMAZING!!! The next night was the wedding & after that we all returned to the Rock Bar once again. We experienced the Rock Bar 3 times & loved it every time. From relaxing at the pool & the lounges, to watching the sunset & sipping mojito's to relaxing with a drink & chilling out with friends after a wedding, it was truly spectacular! You have not experienced Bali if you havent visited the Rock Bar! Yes it is the same prices as Melbourne & people may say its expensive for Bali standards but it is all worth it, you will not get views & atmosphere like this anywhere else in the world & the service we got here was the best service we experienced in Bali.

“Outstanding views”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

A group of us visited late afternoon/early evening after a visit to Uluwatu. We hadn’t made a reservation but that was ok as we managed to get a huge day bed which seated all 6 of us comfortably. The cocktails weren’t cheap but were delicious and the rock lobster spring rolls and California maki were to die for, as was the view. We’ll definitely be making another visit next time we’re in Bali.

“Needs to be seen to be believed!”
Reviewed April 17, 2014 via mobile

We came here for sunset cocktails and dinner and weren't disappointed. We were treated like VIPs all evening! We had a day bed (minimum spend $50AUD) and worked our way through the cocktail list and menu. Highlights include the Blood Diamond cocktail and California Maki sushi. We sat on the edge of a cliff face, watching the sun set over the sea. This place is a treat, the view and service alone is worth the effort of going and spending up.

“Too hot to be on the rock”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

We went to the rock bar on my birthday and there was only one other couple on the terrace we were on so that tells you something was wrong and that was the weather it was searing heat, there was no shade and we just baked, we were given an umbella to hold! we only stayed for one drink and had to leave, just as well as two drinks came too $50. On hot days the tables need umbrellas.

“Amazing views and spectacular service”
Reviewed April 15, 2014 via mobile

My partner and I visited the popular rock bar one evening after hearing loads about it... We were not disappointed thanks to a young waiter called Angga- he was superb!! We asked about the chilli used in the spring rolls sauce and he was kind enough to ask the chef and bring us a couple out from the kitchen! ( my partner is a chilli fiend). It may sound like a small thing but these are differences between great service and going above and beyond. The evening was fantastic thanks to Angga and the staff. If you are a tequila fan you must try the classic frozen lime magarita!
