We got dropped in Jimbarrin Bay a bit before dinner and after the reviews of TA insisted on our taxi driver dropping us here. We were a bit surprised when we got out of the taxi as we seemed in the middle if nowhere but decided to make a reservation and then have a walk around. The man who took our reservation smiled and agreed but never took a name or anything which instantly made my husband doubtful. We walked to the waters edge and slowly walked along the beach. The walk started out well with our two year old playing in the water and making friends with young local kids but the further we walked the smellier and dirtier it got. We decided to stop for a cocktail on the beach and were shocked by the price of drinks and food - over AUD10 for a cocktail seemed a little high in Bali. After a decent walk we returned to the area of Lias and much to our surprise the whole little strip was busy and lively Lias looked full and we were worried they may not have room for us now. When we approached the man we spoke to earlier greeted us with the best table in the house and a warm smile. Not being a seafood eater the menu for me wasn't huge but my husband loved his seafood platter. The prices were great with a 2 person platter 38AUD which included 2 beers. We were so happy with the service food and setting especially after looking at the more commercial establishments in jb. Oh but don't expect cocktails here but the rest more than makes up for it. The best spot to watch the sun set!!!
