“Great Quality but not for bargain hunters”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

Bought half a dozen pieces, some lovely salt and pepper shakers that look like pebbles stacked on top of each other, couple of oil burners and some mugs. Would have liked to buy more but prices were prohibitive. Staff were friendly and helpful and a nice little cafe on site. I would go back again on a future trip for quality pieces but I would like to find somewhere a bit cheaper and accept lower quality.

“Gorgeous ceramics”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013 via mobile

We thoroughly enjoyed our two visits to Jenggala.

Yes it is expensive in terms of Bali however, the quality of the pieces available and the wide variety, represent value for money in Australian terms.

I purchased a number of pieces - seven in total - for less than AUD$130. I would probably pay more than double (maybe triple) that at home for an equivalent standard of product.

If you are after quality, beautiful pieces then definitely drop on in!

“Nice but overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013

This place has a very nice showroom and very good quality ceramics. The price however, we found to be high even for tourists. Go here expencting to pay A LOT for things you may find at home at a much cheaper price, at least in Canada this is the case. Still a nice place to visit to see the various designs.

“Paint your Own Pottery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

Jenggala is a famous ceramic shop that has started their business since the 70s. Although you can find many similar ceramics with cheaper price in shops around kuta and legian, Jenggala do specialized in upper-class and much higher quality pieces all of which are handmade in the factory just behind the gallery.

The products sold ranging from dinnerware, vase, oil burners, statues and many others. Some products are design with traditional Balinese style, but some are designed with modern / artsy style.

The most interesting about Jenggala, is that you can join pottery painting program. This program is open daily until around 4 pm. First, you can choose the items you want to paint - mug, small statues, ashtray etc. With a set of paint you are free to decorate your pottery. This will be very interesting, especially for little kids. After finish, your piece of art will be burned in the oven and processed for finishing touch. Note that this process will take 2 to 4 days to finish, so just take this program if you have extended stay in Bali.

It is very nice to bring a souvenir made by yourself from Bali.

“Quality ceramics”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2013

Thought this was a good place to bring home a quality keepsake from Bali. Great choice from small pieces to huge ones you would need to get an extra seat home. We spent at least two hours here, had a coffee and left with two matching candlesticks. Worth a look.
