If you are a student, it is a good option. If you are a couple looking for a nice quiet relaxing stay without a constant stream of annoying staff and loud noise at night, with an eatable breakfast - don't even think about it. and if you are a family with children - forget it.
We were promised there was internet wifi in the villa. Not only did this not work, but the main lobby wifi was out for most of the 3 days we were there. and when they did get it working for a short period of time, I had to have conference calls in a dark room with no air con and no fans, because the power was out (apparently had been out for days).
On top of that, there were issues with our stove and oven, so they couldn't cook us a proper breakfast (which was dreadful anyway). The staff were unresponsive and unfriendly. When I pointed out there was a dead bird in the front lobby, they just left it there.
The upstairs living area is totally unsafe for children, so we had to use furniture to block off the stairs so they couldn't get up there.
The pool was too deep, so the only place we could swim with the children was on the steps. there was a sudden drop straight away from the stairs. impossible for 1 adult to swim with 3 children who cannot yet swim when you cannot stand up.
Staff kept hassling us every day wanting to know what time we were checking out.
Generally an awful experience, and a typical case of mis-managment of expectations.

Just spent four nights here in a party of 4. Initial thoughts as we drove in was that it was a little run down however once we entered the Villa we were presently surprised. A huge Villa with nice facilities and a huge pool looked like we were going to have a nice relaxing long weekend. Friday night we had a nice relaxing meal on the beach and returned to the Vill around 12 in the evening. At 1 am we were woken by the sound of motor bikes, music and shouting and soon realized we were surrounded by students who had invited most of Kuta back for a party. This continued every night and when I complained I was told that it was normal for the weekend.

I was once a student (a while ago now) and so understand the need to have some fun however expecting holiday makers with different budgets to spend the weekend next to this is not acceptable.

We stayed here in a large group for a wedding last week. The villas were comfortable, the rooms clean (mostly) and the layout suited our mix of youg families, couples and singles. Each compound had 3 rooms (generally 2 doubles and a twin) set around a pool with a dining/kitchen/lounge area. We received a breakfast cooked in our compound each morning and the guy who did the breakfast also cleaned the rooms, he was excellent but his colleague the assistant manager was not so helpful. Every time he saw us he asked for payment for the villas. He also started hanging around in our compound while we were trying to eat breakfast. He hassled my friend every day all day when she was trying to enjoy her wedding week. We were not told we would have to pay up front so we were surprised to be treated like that. He told us we could not pay with credit card because the machine was not working. We told him to fix the machine so the next day he told us it was fixed but it was actually very dodgy (not sure if it went through properly as the printer was not working). He was the assistant manager but he didn't know how to use the eftpos machine! He really spoiled our stay by being completely unprefessional. He was never polite about his interuptions, always just demanding money. It's lucky we didn't pay up front because the fourth villa we had booked for later in the week was not available so the last group had to find alternative accommodation down the road at the last minute (as we were not told until the day before their arrival that the villas were overbooked). The stay was OK otherwise although there were a few other details that needed to be fixed, like broken shower heads and dirty areas in the rooms. The pools were good once they had been cleaned properly but they could not be used straight away as they were clearly not sanitary. The food from the restaurant was pretty ordinary but there wasn't much choice close by. With a few small changes (sack the pesky assistant manager), this place could be much more welcoming. The value for money was not good but I've noticed prices in Bali have gone through the roof since I last visited 16 years ago. The place looks great on the net but there are better places out there.
