Private tour with Agung and Archa
An amazing morning full of breathtaking views with our young family.
We made contact via watsap and got a reply within minutes, booked and were picked up by our knowledgeable driver Agung. He arrived 15 minutes early and sent a message to inform us of his arrival and waited patiently until we were ready. The dive from ubud was only 50 mins.
We stopped at a resturant to have pancakes and then 10 mins later were at basecamp.
We met our guide, Archa who was amazing with our young kids. We rented some jackets which were cheap as chips to rent, and were provided with torches, hiking sticks and water.
At 4.30am we started our private tour up the mountain and Archa kept the pace up but with regular stop as we needed. He was great at motivating me and the kids, a 5 and 7 year old.
Archa informed us of the east trail and asked which one we wanted to take up. We took up the challenge to take the difficult trail up and scrambled up to the peak at 6.20am with plenty of time to make it for the sunrise.
Archa took us to different peaks and took great photos and looked after our kids.
He then made eggs and banana sandwiches for us and gave us bananas to feed the monkeys. He carried extra water for us and offered it on numerous occasions.
He told us we could make our way down when we were ready, we simply had to let him know.
On our way down, my kids felt tired and he offered to carry them down on his back. He was just amazing and made us feel so comfortable.
We are so glad we had such a knowledgeable and kind tour guide, Archa was simply amazing. Highly recommend taking private tour with him as you go at your own pace, the price is the same and there is very few people on trail.
At the top you can buy drinks and relax.
Agung, our driver then met us at the bottom and drove us back to the hotel.
If anyone comes to Bali this is one for the bucket list!
An amazing experience wit Archa and Agung, thank you so much

Batur and he was excellent. We left in the dark but he carried water and gave us torches...we stopped for a few breaks to catch our breath :).....and when we arrived at the summit just before dawn we were so amazed. The views we're incredible and Agit took some amazing pictures of us. A wonderful experience never to be forgotten. Highly recommended

We did this hike on Sunday and had such a blast! We will definitely keep great memories of that morning. If you can, I would recommend doing a private tour, that way the guide can recommend different trails with different difficulty levels and walk at your own pace. Our guide, Arca, was just awesome and made this tour memorable. We climbed in 1h20 using a little bit more difficult trail, he prepared our breakfast using the steam coming out of rocks from the volcano. And that sunrise that day was just so beautiful! We had a lot of fun going down too, Arca really adapted the morning to us and our personalities. We used a more difficult route down which was quite exciting and then we raced back down. We really had a great time. If we were to do it again we would definitely ask for Arca to be our guide again. Gusti Aria our driver was right on time, giving us lots of info on Bali on the way to the volcano and letting us sleep on the way back :-). The entire night/morning, was perfect! I would recommend 100%.

My friends and I were super excited for our trip to Bali. We decided to hike Mt Batur and and glad we met Agit, our superb guide. Agung Ari was our driver and he is super informative and very much willing to share his experience and advices on the places we intend to go.
We reach the base of the mountain where we met Agit and he provided us torches and hiking sticks. He even offered to carry extra water for us just in case we needed.
It was very touturing hiking up Mt Batur and we needed alot of break time. AGIT was very considerate and always making sure that we are Ok. Throughout the hike up we procastinated alot but agit treated us with patience and even try to motivate us.
However we gave up hiking 15mins away from the top as it is super tiring. So we decided to take a bike up instead. THANKS to Agit for successfully negotiating the price for us and off we went.
But to arrive at the top, u need to climb another 15mins or so up. There is more slipperly rocks and steeper roads and also not accessible for bikes. Thus we dragged our legs up while procastingating and with constant help and push from Agit by literally pulling me up for the superb view. LOL. We made it.
He showed us the best spot on the mountain and cooked breakfast for us, boiled eggs and sandwiches. He also took amazing photos of us throughout the sunrise.
Once again, thanks Agit for being like a Dad taking of us like his kids. Lol. We appreciate it alot, thanks for your hardwork and effort so we wouldn't missed the sunrise.

My highest recommendation. Definitely the best decision ever made.

Regards,
JONNA (SINGAPORE)

We decided to look at camping atop of mount batur as we were staying in legian and didn’t really want the 2am start.

We were picked up by Rah Agunk who was fantastic so knowledgable of the areas and showed and told us the sights on our way out to Kintamani. He was always looking out for us and making sure we were comfortable. Rah then took us to a restaurant on the edge of the crater looking out to mount batur amazing views and the food was spectacular.

We then travelled down to the trekking start point were we were introduced to our guide Agit Tanoshii who was so friendly and welcoming, we kitted up and were on our way.

Agit was so accommodation and at no point pushy we were on no strict timeline and even offered to carry our backpacks, on our way up he explained the different areas and rocks, the digging of holes for crystals so interesting. There were 4 pit stops on the way up where we were shown different locations and points of interest including the other mountains in the areas. Once we arrived to the summit we were greeted by our friendly porter who was finishing off setting up our tents in preparation for the nights stay.

Just so you understand we camped on top of the summit of Mount Batur with our own private viewing area all to ourselves!!!!!!! So surreal!!!!

The two then went about preparing us dinner we honestly weren’t expecting much but were served fresh fruits, a delicious warm vegetable soup, freshly caught and cooked fish caught that day as well as a salad, rice nuts. Was a 5 star feed under our sky of 1 million stars!!!! Delicious and second to none.

We then were shown our tents for the nights camping and told about the morning events, we were tired so tired so bedtime for us.

Our tents were overlooking the whole valley the the lights and views were breathtaking the sounds from the villages below were amazing.

5am we awake to the hikers coming up to the summit. We had our own private area to view the upcoming sunrise!!!!!

It was unreal unobstructed views to the ocean, and Agitt was sensational showing us the steam areas prior to it getting too busy and then delivering us a delicious breakfast.

There were so many people up there and so so glad that we had our own area it felt so private.

We then packed up our stuff took our last photos and ventured down the hike down was nice as it was quite cooler and the driver then picked us up from a closer pickup point. We all then headed to the hot springs for a morning relax so nice and so refreshing.

After that were we told that they had organized a visit to a coffee plantation on the way home. We were both not big coffee drinkers so gave that one a miss but we had Rah the same driver so was good to chat and talk all the way back to our accommodation.

So so so worth it and the camping is a must!!!!!! Would definitely recommend to anyone, no matter your fitness or health levels.

Rah is awesome
And Agit is an awesome person and amazing guide!!!!!!!!!! So glad to have meet these guys and will definitely be keeping in touch
