Owner description: The Park is divided into seven regions that recreate the natural habitats of our birds, complete with indigenous plant life. You can travel from the deep misty jungle of Sumatra to Far East Indonesia and Papua to discover the native birds from these remote regions. Venture to other tropical continents too. See the South American exotics such as the Golden Macaw and the Congo Grey Parrot from the African Savannah.

To be honest both the times I visited the Bird park, I went to see the Komodo Dragon. Yes there are Komodo Dragons, both in the bird park and reptile park (The best way to see the Komodo Dragons is an overnight trip to Komodo and Rinca islands which any local tour operator or travel agent can arrange, but if you don't have time come to see them at the bird park.
This time I came to Bali with friends but on my earlier visit we were 3 families with little children and they loved the Bird park.
Unlike many other bird parks, here you can get really close and interact with the birds. If you're visiting Bali with kids, you must come here.

Zoos etc are not usually our thing, but we thought we would give the Bird Park a go. It's well organised and they do have an amazing amount of variety in their exhibits.
The large walk-through domes are particularly impressive, and worth the admission price on their own.
On another note, the enclosures for some of the larger birds like the macaus and eagles were pitifully small, and it was a bit sad to see these large birds sitting silently in their cages.
That aside, the domes were brilliant, the komodo dragon feeding (with the handler nervously hopping from on side of the enclosure to the other; all the while keeping a wary eye on the dragon) was also worth seeing.
In one of those 'animal kingdom' moments, we were walking past the pelican pond when, all of a sudden, every single pelican left the water and started waddling toward the shelter of a nearby ice cream cafe. A few seconds later, it began raining. It was torrential.
So we didnt get to see the reptile stuff as the river (previously the footpath) didn't flow that way.
A good day out, and worth a visit.

My first visit but what a pleasant surprise ! Very large and well organised collection of birds not only from Indonesia and but also Africa and South America. Plenty of F and B if necessary and highly recommend that you have at least 2 hours. The bird shows are also well worth watching. Many birds are allowed to wander around and the large aviaries within which the birds are free to do as they please, are fantastic. The large bat was slightly perturbing but never a problem. Many exotic birds in the open aviaries are very tame and will permit photographers to approach to within 1.5 metres. I totally agree this is a must see.

Tickets and all vendors were expensive, especially the photo services. Aside from that, the park was amazing with so many exotic animals around. The bird park was adjacent to the reptile park, which was also great.

They have plenty of animal collections and we can even allowed to interract with some of the animals. The surrounding area was relaxing, fun, and properly maintained. I really recommend this place if you want to visit with your children. It's great!

We had more fun here than can be expressed in words. The bird collection is amazing. The grounds are beautiful. They let you hold parrots and tucans. We have facebook amo for the next 10 years. All the bird enclosures look comfortable and humane, and many roam the grounds freely or live in large open aviaries. The owl barn is beautiful from the outside and filled with pure big-eyed treasure. Admission even includes entrance to the reptile zoo, which is also excellent. Our favorite in Bali so far. 5 stars!!!!
