“Best Experience in BALI”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2014

I booked via email with very quick response. No trouble in booking at all.

Me and my 11 year old daughter firstly got picked up from hotel at 7am.
They drove us to coffee plantation where we got to try some flavoured tea and coffee and then went to the shop on site and bought some chocolate and coffee to take home.

Then you get back in the car and go to the volacno for breakfast, you get a choice from omlette, banana pancakes or banana fritters.

Then back in car to where you start the bike ride.

The bike ride was the best experience we had in bali, we were the only 2 ppl on trip which was excellent. Tour guide MADE was very good at explaining the balinese culture and very proud of where he is from.

The bike ride is 95% down hill, hardly having to peddle. Until you reach the big hill, which we could not make it up. That was no problem at all and the car took us up hill, then we got back on bikes for the rest of the ride. When the ride finishes you get back in car where its a few mins up road to the village house/ compound where you have a beautiful lunch. The food was to die for, very very yummy! Be sure to go back for seconds when you are there as they cook this food for you.

When you are ready the tour guides take you back to hotel. For a Full day 7am-4pm, breakfast, lunch, bike ride and tour of coffee plantation this was great value for money, costing around $30 AUD per person.

I wish i had of tipped higher but got my money mixed up. I wanted to tip MADE enough for him to get himself a CAT-POO-CINO.

Would highly reccommend this adventure to anyone, you wont be dissapointed!!

“Best bike tour in Bali”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2014

Today we went with Halo Bike tours for a great day of adventure. I had originally contacted them a few months ago due to the excellent reviews here on tripadvisor and they did not disappoint.
I wanted the bike ride of the morning and a river rafting in the afternoon for 4 people.
They organised everything at a wonderful price.
Yoga always replied to my emails and on the day his cousin Made (pronounced Ma-de) picked us up with his other cousin , also Made.
They took us from semiyak to a coffee tasting place then onto the volcano lookout near ubud for breakfast.
We then did the bike ride, which was awesome going through many small villages along the way.
Then onto lunch at Yoga's compound then onto white water rafting.
Halo made the whole experience a great day for us and we can't thank them enough.

This trip is well worth the very little money they charge. They pick you up and drop you off at the hotel. The breakfast at the mountain is beautiful. The coffee and tea tasting was exceptional and you can of course purchase some to take home. I bought two for 6000each but they come in hand made and painted wooden cases. The bike ride is so easy except for one hill but the truck is waiting to haul you up if you need to. The best part was there were very few other tourists during our ride and tour of the coffee plantations and no one at the volcano. It as if the tour was for us alone. Our guide was exceptional with English and very knowledgeable with any questions I had. The lunch provided was superb and in the comfort of his families home with real home made authentic food. This trip was the best experience of the real Bali I could ever imagined !

This bike tour was incredible. Made was incredibly kind in sharing with us all about the Bali culture. We were a group of 8 and all came away with that much more knowledge on the Balinese people, religion, etc. We truly enjoyed every bit of the day. Lunch was absolutely delicious and authentic. Definitely one of the best meals we had in Bali! Next time when we come back with the kids, we will be doing the bike tour (and other ones) with Halo again.

“Highlight of our holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2014

Yoga's bike tour of the beautiful Bali was the highlight of our trip. It was suitable for the very young and old. We were a large group of friends with our families travelling together and so Yoga was able to personalize our trip for the 13 of us.
The first stop at a tea/coffee plantation was fascinating and involved young and old. Next stop breakfast with a gorgeous view was fantastic.
There were many amazing restaurants we visited on our holiday but Yoga's wife provided us with the most amazing food we had while we were in Bali. Our soccer mad son enjoyed playing soccer with Yoga's cousin in their beautiful courtyard of their family home after lunch.
We met lovely Balinese on our tour and appreciated the hard working nature of these people when we got to participate in the harvesting of Rice in the paddies.
When we go back to Bali we will definitely be touring with Yoga again.
