Climb to the top gives a 300 degree panorama where you can almost see all of denpasar city. More interesting from the outside than the inside. But it could be very happy do something with the kids.

in some area round of the monument there is big hole with the water after raining, it should be leveled cause it will be dangerous for people walking around.

Set in a large public park the Monument to Indonesia's Independence tells the story of Indonesia in a non-political way. A history worth knowing about and despite 400 years of Dutch rule there is little evidence of Dutch influence. Climb to the top and see most of Denpasar. Some haze but I've seen worse from the the top of the London Eye. If you visit on the right day you will be surprised at the number of occupied football fields where local teams fight it out and occasionally there will also be a jazz festival on a perimeter road. Don't be afraid of local vendor food stalls, it's all palatable and cheap, if you know how to haggle! Pick you day though as it is sometimes closed. Bali has much to offer and it does not have be all sun and sand.

More interesting from the outside than the inside. But it can be something to do with kids... Dioramas of mild interest, can feed koi fish, and a climb to the top gives a 360degree panorama where you can almost see the ocean. Can't climb to the top if you are menstruating, however, and anyone vertically challenged might find the dimly lit spiral stairway a little daunting but not too much. Admission is only 10,000 rupiah...I think monuments and museums, no matter how sadly presented or preserved, deserve support!
