We walked there from Mussoorie just by chance, because it's not in the Lonely Planet Guide. We saw a signal and followed a path asking people. It was a real surprise! We ended up in the Happy Valley: nice tibetan style houses scattered here and there in the emerald green of the forest, lots of nice young people/students and children walking up and down. We briefly visited the monastery: the monks were helping to restore it. Welcoming people let us to go in the school and look around: the students were rehearseling for the Dalai Lama's imminent visit. An indian teacher told us the story of the place and invited us for a tea (unfortunately we had to go back 'cause it was late and about to become dark). Oh, how I'd like to go there again!
