“Amazing place!!!”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

this is a restro-bar with live music...the guy who was singing that day have amazing voice. There is no dance floor, but still people were dancing on the floor. The guy was singing songs on demand. We enjoyed a lot, it memorized me of my college days..If you want to have fun with dinner.. this place is a must go..We loved it!!!!!!
Just take care that if u return late from the place, you should have your own vehicles or arrange them, as we had to walk for around 2-3 kms after this njoyment.. towards our hotel..:P

“Good food in a wrong place”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

The first time, i had dinner at the Tavern at Mussoorie, a now famous hindi singer Mohit Chauhan was playing live. That was 5 years ago. Last Saturday, went to Mussoorie again, visited Tavern and another live performance was on. I wish the singer very best. However, the niceties ended there. The place has decent music, good food, but bad service and to top it all, the place seems to have turned it self into an AHATA, or the small eatieries we find along the shops selling booze. With awfully bad crowd, people banging tables in drunken brawls. I would definitely not recommend any families with venturing into the place. The service was pathetic. However, food and music was decent.

“Quality food, service and atmosphere.”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

The Tavern boasts a menu of Indian and the ambiguous "Chinese"/"Asian" specialties; I strongly recommend anything off their Indian list over the Chinese options. I visit this restaurant frequently with my spouse or with friends, and we've never had a bad incident with the food - though it can be hit-or-miss on its quality (always alright, but varying degrees of 'good' to 'excellent'). The staff and service are always attentive even during their busy hours. The costs are slightly overpriced (but for those worried about their digestion, it may be worth the few extra rupees); all in all, for a celebratory dinner, an evening out with friends, or a desire for a restaurant with alcoholic drinks, the Tavern's an easy and always safe choice.
