Review of Jharipani Falls

Ask any local and you will be told that Jharipani is nothing but a village. But if you are ready to stretch your muscles then walk for 2-3 km inside the forest area to visit the waterfall. It is good only because it is in the middle of a inhabited area otherwise the same kind of falls are easily seen on the main roads of these hill while visiting in monsoon season.

In a lesser known corner of Mussoorie, Jharipani falls is an absolute must for any trekking enthusiast. Situated around 3 kms from Barlowganj, this site is a series of small natural falls where anyone who wants to get away from the daily hustle bustle would find peace and serenity.

A 1 km detour from the main road near Jharipani (which incidentally translates literally into a 'Waterfall') would bring you into this place surrounded by lush greenery on one side and a steep valley slope on the other, where there are still no traces of any commercial influence and everything has been left just to Nature.

Don't forget to pack a nice calorie-loaded meal in case you plan to visit.

JhariPani Falls is just awesum, if you want to spend time at a lonely fall. You walk in a forest for about 2 and a half KM and then you reach JhariPani Falls. Frankly on your will find just two to 3 local residents and no one else. Sometimes you will hear some kind of noise, probably it is of some kind of insects there, but its loud. There you can spend some Quality time with your loved one , take bath in Natural pond and relax. There will be no one to disturb you. But make sure you come back before evening . Also it will take at least one hour or more for you to come back to the road. So make sure you plan accordingly. And dont indulge yourself in drinking there. It could be dangerous for you.
