Fantastic location for mall lovers, its a minute walk away from the Picture palace side and most eateries.
Its on the camel back road so one can enjoy quiet walks away from the hustle bustle.
Rooms are small and damp.
Bathrums are a disappointement.
Excellent for tight udget travelers.
Safe for single travelers.

We got the name out of Lonely Planet, arrived after dark and were grateful just to finally arrive. It was freezing so we paid extra for a heater. The first one had no plug just live wires inserted into power socket and held in with toothpicks. We declined and the second one was coil heater with rusty reflector. Bedding was filthy, towels same. Electricity cut out for hours (so couldn't use heater anyway) no hot water and on morning we left no water or electricity at all! Broken glass in windows in below freezing temps. Good view was only thing going for it! Give it a miss!

We had been there in the month of may 2012. hotel is situated near to mall on a very beautiful place. it takes 4-5 min slow walk to reach the mall.we spent only 1 night there but next time we will try to go min. for 3 nights. hotel's manager is very helping person. he allow us to stay till 6 p.m. on the check out day. food was very delicious. they have their own homly kitchen any body can go and see how they people cook food in a very neat kitchen. food was very tasty. this is really a good option for budget travelers. because they cook fresh food as per ur choice, u have to give order in advance specially in off season when hotel is not fully occupied. hotel has a small open area in front of main building gate. we had evening tea there. beautiful views.washrooms were clean with 24 hrs. hot water facility. 100% recommended.

This place gets all the Lonely Planet travellers, as in the book ... This is even known around town! Haven't seen any other budget places in Mussoorie to compare, but this place is VERY budget. The first night we had a room upstairs which was big, and went out onto a balcony. The blankets were pretty dirty looking, but it was freezing at night (even in May) so we had to use them.  It was 600 rupees, so pretty cheap and good value and location. HOWEVER ...The next night we had to move rooms to what we named the "hole"! It was downstairs, damp, tiny, dirty... Generally gross. Walked through an alleyway that went down side of building which stunk of urine. Had to ask for some new blankets as these were even worse (this was only 400 rupees a night). So in short, check which room you are getting before committing.

If you're on the budget, this is excellent choice. Building is rustic with colonial atmosphere, staff is nice, rooms basic though clean, some with beautiful views. Due to its "heritage" feeling it can be even more entertaining stay than in more expensive but modern hotel.

This place is charming in the same way a rustic cottage is charming, lovely people, room with a bed and a cold shower. Noisy monkeys in the morning but a nice breakfast. Its really basic, but clean and simple and if you are on a budget would do you fine.
