The positives were the hotel was clean, staff were friendly. The downside was a number of smaller individual items.
The communal toilet on the first floor smelt so strongly you could not enter it. The first day the corridor outside our room stank of moth balls. The next day the corridor smelt really strongly of burnt food, which hung around all day.
Ordering fresh orange juice and masala tea from the downstairs cafe area, we were told that it would take 10-15 minutes and it ended up taking 25 minutes.
There was working going on by the pool, with lots of dust and tradesmen constantly traipsing up and down and not using the area sheilded off for the work. It meant that we left the pool early and did not return during our stay. There was construction work opposite the pool and the builders were shouting at us in the pool and we had to keep the curtains closed in our room.More
