“Excellent Kebabs, Must-go”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

This place serves the most exquisite kebabs, and not just in Lucknow. And they are cheap! A plate of kebabs with parathas will cost you under INR 50. The market is extremely crowded and the seating area not very clean, but the food more than makes up for these minor troubles.

A must go, and definitely a priority on any tourist's itinerary.

“Lip-smacking!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

This has definitely been a food highlight of three months in India! Obviously the number of tourists turning up is on the up because, after a minute or so standing outside looking in delight at the food being cooked, we ventured downstairs and were quickly and friendly ushered to a table and given a menu, as if expected in this most non-touristy of locations (ask a tuk tuk driver, guide or local to take you; you'll never find it otherwise).

The food was most definitely worth seeking out. The kebab/kababs were unlike anything we've ever tasted: crispy on the out and so velvety smooth in the interior, sharply salty but also fragrantly spiced. Pure bliss, we had to order more. The biryani and chicken curry rounded out a fabulous meal, as well as mounds of fresh roti. All for under 10 bucks. Amaze.

Our waiter was great: quick, prompt, checking in with us to see if we wanted to order more - clearly a common occurrence - but not in a pushy manner. We were greedily happy for the attention!

“Best Kebabs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013 via mobile

It's been so many years we have been eating at tunday. It's mouth watering tunday kebabs and korma is something you can't just get anywhere. The best thing is the consistency that they provide with all of their dishes on menu. Ihave never felt any change. It's chicken masala and Biriyani is incomparable. I feel the best taste is of tunday in Aminabad.

“If you are in Lucknow, Go for it. If not then go to Lucknow for it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

That i think should summarize Tunde. Its a bastion where legacy meets taste which is the theme that has remain unadulterated for decades.
Does't matter what oil they use or how dark the kebab will look, just have it and amaze yourself. Its a place which is extremely modest and has remained like that. May be if they upped the decor, it would have lost its taste like most of the legendary corner shops do when they become rich!
