Exquisite piece of architecture!! This monument is a marvel. Situated not far off from the main city I enjoyed a Tonga ride to the monument. The imambara is beautiful and needs atleast an hour or two of your time.. you need not purchase a ticket if you not visiting bhool bhulaiya... I was not aware of it and ended up paying twice though I visited the bhool bhulaiya just once.. but pls do visit the bhool bhulaiya.. The asifi masjid is also a beauty.. take a guide to visit the bhool bhulaiya ... the monument is very well maintained..

Thank iamrawat

Visited in december 2016. To be honest, I didn't expect anything from this place. But this place exceeded my expectations by a big margin. There are 3 buildings:bawli, bhool bhulaiya and imam bara mosque..you will find guides in each of these buildings...There's lot of history behind these magnificient structure.1 interesting point is that many walls of this structure is build with food grains. this is the major attraction in lucknow. It will take about 2 hours to completely explore.this may well be extended If you
get lost inside bhool bhulaiya without a guide like us. Over all a place worth visiting.

We had an English speaking guide who showed us the architecture and took us around. Sometimes it was hard to understand but regarding the fact that in that region it is not common for people to speak English like in South India the guide was quite Ok, the guide fee was 200INR plus tip. The ticket price was extra.
