I booked this hotel at 9 P.M and reached the hotel at 12 at night. I was shocked to hear from manager that they have not recd. the mail so, they can't give you the room. After Giving them voucher from agoda then also they did not agree. After a long argument they agree to give room.

. Hotel Staff/managers are untrained. Beds are noisy and toilets broken. Basic things are not in place (eg broken beds and broken toilet flush).
there was a mold in there, so we couldn't unpack bags... Safe in our room was broken, staff didn't really care about any of this. We found staff very impolite, not helpful, incompetent. Actually staff ruined our stay in Agra. In the end receptionist (which introduce himself as a manager) said that 'nothing can be done for us because hotel is NOT responsible for the way how staff deal with us...' DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE. We stay in 6 different hotels, some of them were much cheaper and we enjoyed our time in all of them...
We had twice problems with AC, it took them around an hour to fix it
It was the worst hotel which we ever stay in!!! For this price u can definitely find much better place.
Stay away from this very old property.

So after traveling and finishing work, we reach the hotel and are greeted by courteous staff. After the documentation was complete, we went to our room.

The room in itself was brilliant, very well lit and spacious. But it was only after we went to the restaurant for a quick bite were we a little disappointed. The serving size was tiny and the food passable.

On going back to relax for an hour or two, I called the reception to ask for the wifi password, to which I was told that the wifi would cost extra as opposed to the fact that they mention free internet on tripadvisor.

One thing I found slightly odd again was that the pool shuts down at 730 (or so the sign says) which in itself is a comparatively early hour for a pool to close.

Another drawback was the buffet, again the food they served was far from appealing, not a single item on the buffet spread was up to the mark, even the biscuits were slightly stale/soggy. As we only stayed for a night and left right after breakfast, this buffet sort of dampened the stay a little, but all in all, seeing the excellent rooms made up for the slight disappointments here and there.

Room Tip: Preferable is one takes the suites and the rooms are huge, and open to a pool in back and a garden u...

We arrived late night as my flight from Varanasi got delayed over rain. So departed Delhi by car at 8pm and arrived at about 1am in Agra. They quickly prepared the documentation and send us to our room. I have informed them that I am leaving early morning to view Taj Mahal by sunrise and they said they will pack breakfast for 2.
The following morning our continental breakfast arrived before we left. Breads and buns and fruits. It sure kept us out of hunger for the day. Was so satisfied with the room. Its very clean !! Also huge. They had mini kettle, several plug points, classic room design, the mattress was really good. Though it was a short nite - we had good sleep.

Check out time is 10am, sooooooooo early. Other than that, everything was fine.

Room Tip: I bet all room are good !!

No doubt its a good place to stay and relax for a while with a much justified heritage look. We were upgraded to princess suites room no 201,202,203 for free and rooms were nice and big with excellent wooden interior. We checked in at Saturday morning i.e on 22nd of june 2013 for a one night stay just to see Tajmahal and nearby places. As planned we checked out next day around 11 and as we were paying the bill we came to know that they overcharged us for the things never there in the fridge provided at the mini bar in our rooms. It was their housekeeping staff who gave the wrong information about the missing things from the fridge and after arguing with the manager he debited that amount. So first of all keep an account of the things placed and you are consuming while your stay. Secondly, as soon as we reached delhi/home i came to know that i forgot my shoes in the room so i called up at the reception thrice but the answer was same every time "we are searching for it and we'll call you back if found". That night they never called i guess they were searching for it whole night. Next day i called up again just to confirm if they still searching for it a lady at the reception pick up the phone and told me same line they were taught while training "we are searching for it and we'll call you back if found". So they started the search again and finally when i again called up after an hour or so they told me "we didn't found your shoes". I know for sure that it was that housekeeping staff that stole my shoes as well as booze from the fridge but ultimately it harms the reputation of a nice place to stay.

location is good near sadar bazar market but hotel is below expectations. rooms were in miserable condition on that time. rooms was full of foil smell. beds were not comfortable. they provide twin bed for a couple instead of a king size bed. pool was in good condition we didn't used it. staff was warm and co operative. breakfast was average just poori bhaji, omelet tea and toast. we choose this hotel as a special deal in off season. not recommendable if going for relaxing holiday since it has no value for money.

Room Tip: avoid this hotel.

This property is synonymous with HUGE rooms and bigger bathrooms. Loved the use of red bricks in the rooms, it gives a very royal vibe to the place. Also learnt the hotel is a heritage property used to belong to one of the Maharajas of Agra. Historically, many important personalities have visited the place. They have restored it well. The food can still be improved. Look out for the puppet plays in the evenings and the gazal sessions in the restaurant at night.
This place is apt for those who want a whiff of the royal life at affordable rates.

Room Tip: pick the big suites on the first floor. for those who want to close to the pool choose the ground fl...
