That balcony really is beautiful! Just imagine shajahan looking out longingly to the taj mahal, where his wife was buried. In a place with so much history, this has the extra wow factor is splendor and beauty.
Although we went in the heat of the day, we took our time to explore the place with our capable guide. If one can use there imagination in decorating the place with with rugs and rugs and imagine servants to walk around in their beautiful bright richly decorated cloths one can see the true beauty of this grand place. Imagine the maharaja taking decisions that influence the hole empire in that building....
a 'sample' room showing how things would have looked as common in european buildings with a significant history would actually be a very good addition to the building.
Well we visited this and were amazed as to what all events have occured here. We took the guided tour both the times and it was amazing they take your pictures also and they tell you the complete history while taking you around. They only take i think like 50 bucks or so for this. the same thing applies as to all other places in agra that people other then these guides are looting people out from bhutta sellers to battery sellers everyone. there is not much cleanliness and road sense near such historical places. Very less security exept in Taj Mahal. Transportation is rubbish. I know its UP and we dont expect much from it but still when u are earning so much from these places its no harm you put in like 10 percent in these too. Coming back to the place you got to go to this place to click amazing pictures and upload it on Facebook. its amazing how these places were desinged and akhbar jahangir jodhabai and all those figures come alive while roaming around these places. One time visit only and for sure. But keep in mind about the timing, we didnt see very many girls even in the day time be it after 7'o clock, so plan accordingly
The Red Fort has such great history, if you are in Agra it is a terrific complement to the Taj Mahal. The connection between the two is important, depending on what story of the Taj you are told, but nonetheless, it is wonderful to cover and see. Bring water, it will be a long and hot day, but worth it.
