If you are travelling from outside India - Taj is right on the top of the list to visit in India. Its simply amazing.

Positives: Beautiful Architecture.

its indeed the most beautiful architecture that I've seen so far. Its good to know the history prior to visiting Taj mahal. I don't have worda to describe, it can only be felt. Studied about it in books but its beauty is beyond what is desxribes in books. If u r in india, its a must see place. Just get lost in its history, beauty for a day when u visit agra. If u love photography, its going to be ur most memorable iconic shot . Try to visit on a full moon day. There's a satisfaction in taking shots around full moon day.

We reached Taj from Delhi through Bhopal Shatabdi. Its the Best, Fastest, Cheapest way to reach Agra. Train starts at 6 am at NDLS and reaches Agra sharp at 8 AM, Coffee/Tea, Breakfast is served in the train. Approx Rs 790 was the far for two in A/C Chair car.

I stayed at Siddhartha just for the day alone which was close to West gate. If you the crowd is less you can take tickets by yourself and can enter easily, Guidesaround the area help you get ticket and a quicker entry. I paid 500 for a guide who patiently explained the standard details. You got to be cautious with the Photographers who stalk you before you enter the Taj, as you gotto hire them before entering the Taj. They charge you 40 - 50 bucks for a single 5*8 print. If you dont fixup your contract you will end up paying for 50 Photos which they call as one album. I chose an old guy he shot well and the photos came out good. Travel Light, there is heavy security screening at the gates, eatables, large bags not allowed. Carry your camera, water bottle alone and security check will be a breeze.

Plan to spend some 4- 5 hrs, dont rush Taj. You should sit in one of the Benches on the sides and should enjoy the Grandeur. Also, while you are in the Taj Complex, sit in the white marbles and admire the Intricacy and details of the work in the walls.
