As they say - photos just don't do it justice! Carving and inlay is unbelievable!

“The Taj Mahal is a real Wonder.”
Reviewed November 21, 2011

We visited the Taj Mahal on 31 Oct 2011. Our group arrived at 5.45am and already a long queue of about 100 people were infront of us. So do go early if you want to catch the sunrise without the crowd.

The Taj was really magnificient when the sun light strike on the white marble, and no wonder that it is the Seven Wonders of the World. The design was synmetrical in every way except for a prominent feature right in the centre of the Taj. So as not to take the surprise away, you have to see it for yourself.

Taj Mahal is real worth visiting, although we have to endure a five hour bus journey from New Delhi to Agra. This is well worth a visit.

“Breathtaking”
Reviewed November 21, 2011

While it is recommended that you arrive before the sun rises, be sure to take more pictures after it rises. The colours change completely and I didn't leave myself enough time to go back. Also beware of the "helpful" locals who recommend good locations for the best picture taking opportunities, and then hit you up for hundreds of INR for their "expertise".

“Certainly not an anti-climax!”
Reviewed November 21, 2011

Just as impressive as expected, the Taj did not disappoint. Foreigners have to pay a lot more than local tourists (750 rupees vs 20!) but the bitter taste left in your mouth is soon washed away by the sheer beauty of the monument (plus the 'free' water that is included with the entry. Not to be missed, visit at dawn before all the tour groups arrive.

“Taj Mahal Agra”
Reviewed November 21, 2011

A superb site which lives up to all the hype and more. Go in the morning for the best light and the fewest crowds. We tried a sunset trip to the other side of the river, which was underwhelming. You can choose to take a bicycle rickshaw through the grounds to the main entrance, but make sure you bargain hard!
