Massive impersonal hotel. India is generally a place where the hotels make you feel special and very welcome. At Jaypee I didn't even fell like I had a number, never mind a name. Walking to our room from the reception was like walking through Miami airport to your gate. So long that is not a bad idea to take a sandwich to eat half way.
Service was bad. Room service never brought the tea we requested twice.
On the day we checked out we decided, along with a few hundred other guests, to carry our own bags as the wait for the bell boy was too long.
The lobby is so crowded at times that you can barely push through. God knows what would happen if there were a fire.
Watch for the switch at breakfast. Some guests, including us were switched to other breakfast restaurants. They said there was a group in the main restaurant and the menu would be the same. This is not true. The menu had less selection of the Indian breakfast dishes and more of the international dishes.
We changed hotels after one night.More
