“Good Location, Courteous staff”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

From name, it looked like just another hotel at a tourist place. However, everything including the food was good in the hotel. Only thing not liked was the high salinity of the water in the swimming pool. Hotel staff was courteous enough to serve food to the guests coming late at night. Overall a nice family stay option.
Tip: don't miss the sumptuous breakfast, go for a CP plan

Room Tip: Opt for a room facing the pool side

We went to agra on 4 june to attend a marriage and booked hotel marina by net for two nights. The property is centrally located and next to market that is the only attraction otherwise,
1) Very poor rooms seams the management only wants money from tourists and no maintinence.
2) We change two rooms at midnight although we were extremely tired as the AC was not working properly and after changing the room got to know that phone in the room not working.
3) Food not up to the mark.
4) If the management is finding hard to run the hotel it should close it.

WARNING PEOPLE VISITING AGRA SHOULD THINK TWICE IN STAYING THIS HOTEL although my previous stays in this hotel were comfortable.

Rooms are comfortable. Swimming pool could be much better. The lock to our room was erratic. Overall a good option to stay in Agra. Location was excellent. There was some confusion while checking in as we had changed from single to double occupancy. The co-ordination between the head office and the hotel should be streamlined!

This Hotel was previous Holiday Inn and now with new name I thought it was all new rooms . The Hotel keeps hold and only staff are nice and location is great . This Hotel keep low prices but I would prefer to pay extra more and get better rooms. For one single day to Agra this Hotel is OK.

We spent 2 nights at the Hotel Marina in Deluxe rooms as part of a tour. First impression was very good as the hotel is smart, spacious and clean. However the things that let it down are the attitude of the staff, the location and the cost of food & drink.
Regarding the staff, whilst the general staff i.e. porters & cleaning staff are really pleasant and helpful the managerial staff seem to find it difficult to smile and be pleasant. On our first night there we arrived in the bar at 7:05 after a very hectic tour of the Taj Mahal. there was no-one else in the bar and we were very thirsty. We asked if we could have beers at the Happy Hour offer ( finished at 7pm) but were told in no uncertain terms that we couldn't. Still had a drink and said we'd return next night. Another busy day so looking forward to G & T's this time , got there in plenty of time but didn't have any gin. Couldn't believe it - had to settle for beers.
On our first night we also felt like a walk out but after being outside for 10 mins soon realised this was not a good idea. We did not feel comfortable so returned quickly to eat in the restaurant instead. Food was good but service not so good. We settled for the Al La Carte as found the buffet expensive and too much too eat. Made to feel awkward as opted for Al La Carte. Food very average, we all opted for vegetarian which took ages to arrive with 2 meals arriving about 10 mins before the other 2. We were asked to complete a customer satisfaction survey which we did giving reasonable marks but saying the service wasn't good and explaining why. The manager made it clear he wasn't happy with our feedback. At least he didn't ask us to complete another one the day after! Just as well as this time we ordered a bottle of sparking wine from the menu priced at about 2000 R's. My husband happened to notice that they were about to open a bottle of Moet and stopped them. The waiter explained that they didn't have the wine we'd ordered so had substituted with the Moet - at 6000 R's I think not.
Spent the last evening in the shops where the staff were very pleasant. Would not stay there again nor recommend.

Room Tip: Go for deluxe.

A large hotel in Agra, good rooms . Restaurant mediocre - buffets tastes like everyday after a few days on the tourist hotel, not the great culinary experiences. The environment does not inspire walking, slums bordering the property in the back. Main street outside is not suitable for walking with an unpleasant athmosphere with beggars living on the sidewalks, large holes in the sidewalk and dangerous traffic .

Stay was excellent. House keeping staff was cordial with smiling faces always. Room service was very prompt. Breakfast buffet was very elaborate with lot of variety to choose from. Executive chef (Mr. Singh) was seen interacting with the guests during breakfast time. VALUE FOR MONEY. Felt like extending the stay for two more days.
