We are well travelled and expect a level of comfort. When we arrived, we were put into a twin room although we had written confirmation that we were in a double room as requested! Dining room very basic, more like a cafe then a nice hotel restaurant as we expected. Yes the grounds and pool are very nice and the lobby area. We stayed 2 nights in March and when we got moved to the original double room, now at the back of the hotel, even though we paid for Ta view rooms it seemed quiet enough. Till we got to bed that was - building work going on up in Floor 3 went on all night long - hammering etc. We complained next morning to be told no work had been going on ! Later in the afternoon, staff were in our room who could hear this constant banging and assured us it would stop by 8.00pm on our 2nd night. Fine, I can live with that. Well it went on till 4.00am - At 2.00pm we had duty managers and other members of staff in our bedroom with a phone to the general manager who was woken up to take this call to try to stop the workman. They would not stop until they heard from the work supervisor and not the hotel manager ! Where I come from the general manager calls the shots in his hotel? They wanted to move all our stuff out at 3.00am and when we refused (as we were checking out at 6.30am to drive to jaipur) rather than stop the workman. So for 2 nights we never slept a wink - what a nightmare, we were exhausted. Next morning on check out the general manager was on patrol and he just seemed to know who we were. He said he would refund 1 night to us, unsure why he could not refund both nights but he did write off the spa treatment we both had the day before. Maybe this was just a blip, but it left a bad taste and because of that, I could not recommend this to anyone as all the staff at the time seemed unable to stop a single workman in the room above us from hammering. Shameful actually.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of a GATE1 tour. What a nice hotel--beautiful lobby. The room had a great bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The buffet breakfast was fantastic--all kinds of Indian foods, fruits, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is pretty close to the Taj Mahal.

We stayed in this hotel in Nov 2010 for two nights. We had a superior room with Taj view. I would highly recommend this hotel. The room was very nice and clean with an excellent view of the Taj Mahal.
The hotel is very close to all the important monuments in Agra. A very good shopping area named Sadar is not not far from there. We were very pleased with the ambience, service and the cleanliness of the hotel. The staff was also very courteous. The food in the hotel restaurant was a bit expensive for us. We did not eat there. Instead we found out an excellent restaurant named "Maya hotel and restaurant" close by. The food was excellent and the price unbeatable.

High three star hotel with very nice, clean rooms and very good bedding. Nice grounds with large pool. As an American traveler with family, we were mostly restricted to eating in the hotel. The restaurant offerings were adequate, but the service was horrible. Within town, but not any obvious alternative eating options nearby. A basic fitness room. Front desk staff was helpful.
