I am surprised to read some of the negative reviews about this hotel being old-fashioned and tired-looking or having old TVs. Goodness gracious. Did these people even step out of their rooms? This is because if they did, they would have experienced one of Trident's strongest assets: the wonderful, large, and calm oasis: its garden.
Even before arriving here, I have known about Trident's garden from the reviews here, but I had no idea how large or peaceful it was. I just thought it was a little courtyard outside the rooms! How wrong was I!
I am told that the garden covers an area of 16 acres. It consist of a kids' playground, a large pond (complete with ducks and geese), even a little golf hole to practice your putting, a large field for kickabout, and a vegetable garden which they used to grow, among others, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, spinach, lettuce, and peas. These vegetables are used in the hotel restaurant.
Trident hotel is an oasis to escape Agra city's crowd, noise, and dust. Stay in your room for a comfortable sleep, and go to Trident's restaurant for a delicious and varied meal. And for an almost surreal peace and quiet, walk, rest, and sit down in Trident's garden. Read a book there or just laze around.
I am not exaggerating when I say that just experiencing Trident's garden is a one-day activity in itself.
Bottom line: Highly recommended hotel.More
