Hotel Looks grand and royal with the fort-esque design and the grandness associated with the Taj. Rooms are spacious, big and provided with all amenities. ACs are average and doesnt cool well at all. You tend to feel suffocated in a big room. Bathrooms are big and a full-throttle shower with in-built radio is fantastic. No free wifi is unbelievable when you pay $500 for a night!
The decor, garden area are well done and add to the mystic charm of the place.
The x-factor is missing,, whether it is about the polishing of the surroundings or not well thought-out recreation areas. When you pay $500+ for a night, you tend to expect more but this was kind of a let-down. The location of the hotel is not too complicated and is a few blocks away from the ITC and the Taj Mahal. Buffet Dinner was lavish yet not comprehensive , was expensive yet not sumptuous.
We felt let down the next morning when we checked out and went to the Taj only to be told that it was closed for 4 hours for a VVIP visit. The 5-stars hotel ought to know this and they should have atleast guided us or informed us about ,so we could have planned better and not waste time sitting around doing nothing.
All in all an OK experience but not worth $500!More
